Gray family
i like lucie and jesse but i have a bone to pick with how their relationship was written: i wanted to see more of them falling in love (or at least one of them, and lucie would have made more sense)
i mean, at the start we have them becoming friends and starting to care about each other, then in the second book they confess their love: i feel like we missed a step or two in the middle
and it’s a shame, since it’s one of the few couples of the last hours trilogy that develop their feelings during the story, mostly already have feelings before everything happens (at least for what i’ve read so far, so i could be wrong)
i wish that we could have seen more of the development of lucie and jesse’s relationship and lucie falling in love with him

My favourite ship dynamic is a morally grey character who prefers to avoid violence but will absolutely commit murder without remorse if they think it's the most convenient way to solve their problem
x
A wise sage-like character with a much better moral compass who's constantly following them around, giving them stern glares when they're about to be violent, lecturing them on how, "murdering people is wrong and you shouldn't do it," but is 100% ready to help hide the body
Bonus points if the first one is the brightest, bubbliest person ever and has no tragic backstory whatsoever.
absolutely hilarious to me that when thomas came out to his parents, he expected disappointment and getting thrown out but the scene literally went like this:
thomas: i am in love with alastair carstairs and i will be spending the rest of my life with him
eugenia: if ANYONE has objections WE WILL—-
gideon: i didn’t even think you liked him
sophie: that’s absolutely wonderful, darling
thomas: what
gideon: we thought you hated him
eugenia: what

watching movies like lisa frankenstein or enola holmes or tv shows like lockwood & co just makes you realize all the possible phenomenal narratives cassandra clare could have went with when writing lucie & jesse, but didn’t and all you can see now is this huge wasted potential
Kit and Ty are just gay version of Lucie and Jessie
