Be patient when becoming someone you haven't been before.
Yup
i just want to spend the rest of this year letting things flow for once in my life and not stress over outcomes and/ or situations i have absolute no control over. just letting God guide me while i work on being the best version of me.
Reblog for something magical to happen to you today.
NEVER LET YOURSELF BE STOPPED BY WHAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE IF YOU STARTED EARLIER!!!!! THE ONLY TIME WE HAVE IS NOW
you can never please everybody. when you stand up for yourself, there will be people who think you’re overreacting or being a jerk. when you try your best to be kind to everyone you meet, there will be people who think you’re being fake or that you desperately want to be liked. you won’t ever be able to be the best version of yourself if you live for other people, because that ‘best version’ is entirely subjective and therefore impossible to embody. be your personal best, your personal favorite, and you’ll attract people who will see you that way as well.
It is okay to disappoint people. In fact, it’s often necessary. When you choose to stay true to your values and beliefs you will inevitably let others down at times, but that’s not a reflection of your worth. It’s a sign of self respect. You are not responsible for managing everyone else’s expectations at the cost of your own well being. People who genuinely care about you will understand and those who don’t were only invested in what you could offer them, not in who you truly are. Disappointment is temporary, but betraying yourself to please others creates long term resentment. Honor your path, even if it means not meeting everyone’s expectations.

I just want to remind you that sometimes your life really doesn't begin until you are 26+... Romanticizing and obsessing over our youth is harmful. Growing up is beautiful. Discovering who you are and how you interact with the world is a gift. Maturing and learning what you truly want out of life and living in that purpose brings fulfillment and peace. Your life is not over in your early 20's because you haven't figured it out yet, it's just beginning.
