…This.
I heartily agree
I found this on reddit. The watermark, which I’ve cropped out, was for a certain website that -
Okay, you know the stereotype of MRAs as misogynist dudebros? That. They’re like that, I’m told. For example, the original didn’t use “complain”, if you get my drift. They also have a habit of spamming /r/MensRights.
Still, even a stopped clock is right twice a day, which is why I cleaned this up. Including choosing a much, much less stupid font.
Previously.
This is a good post.
My guess is that this meme was taken from a legitimate MRA site, and made “misogonystic” (probably only used the word bitch, which isn’t misogynistic, just crude) by a PUA site. You know, not MRAs. But instead of actually researching and looking into things and getting to know what the REAL issues are that MRAs have (rather than the ones that feminists TELL YOU they have, you just went with your own preconceptions. And then you saw this. You realized it was correct and true. There was no flaws in the argument itself, just the way it was presented. And all your indoctrination by feminism told you that MRAs are bad, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that this was RIGHT.
Here’s the thing. If you keep reading about MRAs from anti-MRAs, you will invariably have a warped opinion of them. Try something simple. Don’t read the articles on A Voice for Men. Just read ONE page. It’s a simple page I will link here. The mission statement. THIS is what MRAs want to accomplish. Just read it. See if you find any of the goals and values objectionable. See if those goals line up with what anti-MRAs say about MRAs. And then make up your own mind about who’s the hateful ones.

I erased the watermark was because the people who made this are scumbags who just happened to make a good point for once.
Not a PUA site, but something similar. Redpillers maybe. It’s been a while.
It was not, in any way, shape, or form, an actual MRA site.
>Here’s the thing. If you keep reading about MRAs from anti-MRAs, you will invariably have a warped opinion of them.
Here’s an idea; before you make assumptions about someone’s beliefs about mras, just Google their Tumblr URL of the person you’re upset with and “MRA”. In fact, here’s one I prepared earlier.
Notice anything? Like years of me defending the MRM, even though I’m not an MRA?
I know the climate pushes pro-MR people towards having a…hair trigger, but in the future, check your targets.
You are not prepared for what you are about to experience…

I am going to prove, hopefully once and for all, that Schrodinger’s Rapist is absolute bullshit, and that feminists are fearmongering when they say “Women fear leaving the house because they’ll be assaulted more often than not!”
If I use these statistics about the average amount of rapes in the US (keeping in mind that famous rape apologists Mary Koss and the CDC, who don’t count male rape as rape, are part of the research team), we come up with 89,000 rapes. Let’s assume that they’re all separate incidents, and not repeat offences, all with different rapists.
Now that we have that settled, let’s bring up RAINN’s bullshit statistic that 54% of rapes are never reported. Thus, the 89,000 is 46% of all rapes. Cross-multiply and divide, we come up with 193,478 rapes. (I rounded to the nearest whole number because you can’t have half a rape.) Let’s again assume that those are all separate victims and separate offenders.
A Google search of “US population” reveals that there are approximately 313.9 million people. Thus, approximately 0.06% of the population is a rapist.
Wait…
Ah, right, I forgot the most important part! Feminists love to spout that 99% of rapists are men (because 99% of people arrested for rape are men, because no one gives a shit about female rapists, but let’s put that aside). We can just round that up and say that all rapists are men, shall we? Women make up 50.8% of the population (seen here, where men don’t garner a mention at all), so men make up 49.2% of the 313.9 million. Okay, so there are about 154,438,800 men in the US. Okay, that means that approximately 0.1% of the population of men is a rapist.
Oh…
But wait! Let’s pretend that 99% of rapes are never reported and do it all over again! (This is a statistic I’ve seen a few times, although it’s so bogus that I don’t have a debunking on hand.) That means that there are 8,900,000 rapes per year. Let’s do the numbers for the whole US…which gives us a rate of about 2.8% of the population…
But men, though! So let’s do the numbers with the male population…which gives us a rate of about 5.8% of the male population…
No matter how you slice it, being afraid of all men because they might be rapists DOESN’T MAKE SENSE. And the reason women are afraid to go out at night? Because feminists tell them over and over that they’re SO LIKELY to be assaulted (ignoring that women are a minority of assault victims…), and society MUST rectify this terrible problem that actually doesn’t exist!
Dear feminists (if any of you have made it this far), please stop fearmongering. It serves no purpose except to create a problem that you can then “solve.” And before you throw Mary Koss at me, she’s dishonest at best (assigning the label of “rape victim” to people who did not say they were rape victims), and a rape apologist at worst (“No, really, there’s a good reason we don’t consider men who were forced to penetrate to be raped, I just can’t say!”), so she’s unreliable. Own up to the fact that you manufactured the “rape crisis” and move on to something you can ACTUALLY fix, rather than creating something so you can fix it later.
1. The assumption there’s no repeat offenders is a very strong assumption. http://days.maybemaimed.com/post/50229220446/repeat-rape-how-do-they-get-away-with-it-part 2. Then why did I feel so relieved when I discovered that rape culture had a name?
If there was a 1 in 20 (i.e 5%) chance that person on the street wanted to do you harm in a uniquely horrific way, would you really be willing to act like maybe they didn’t, or would you protect yourself until you were in safer position? If 5% of people who looked like me wanted to harm people in this uniquely horrific way, would I be surprised and offended when they didn’t trust me?
You do realize that the 5% number is complete bullshit, right? The 5% number is running off the assumption that 99% of rapes are never reported, which is a (purposeful) gross overestimation. The entire point of this post was to show that “this is the ABSOLUTE HIGHEST that these numbers could ever be”.
The assumption that there are no repeat offenders was meant to bump the number higher. To prove the point of “even when you bump the numbers up, they don’t get that high.
The actual numbers, that are based off of *real* statistics, are the .06% and .1% numbers.
Please remember to read carefully, because right before those last two percentages were stated it said “Let’s pretend that 99% of rapes are never reported”. Pretend being the key word there.
Your chances of meeting a rapist are nowhere near 1 in 20. They’re not even 1 in 10,000 (.1%) because of the assumption that there were no repeat offenders. If you factor that in, since the average number of rapes per rapist is between 2 and 5 (from what I’ve read), then the chance becomes between 1 in 20,000 and 1 in 50,000.
I laughed way too hard at this
Wight’s Plight
They rises and twists and swirls about, the abyss of thoughts that reaches out,
Ill-tempered grace seeks thy mind, about your heart this darkness binds.
Seek ye not, in time reveal, a call upon thine heart of steel.
To which thy fate is all but sealed
and once again in form and thane,
We rise like tide among the fane,
Denied us our kingdoms, denied us our rights,
denied us our day and our light.
we were once chiefs and kings and so shall we be once again.
So in darkness we rise, for death could not chain our hatred nor our vengeance,
And all that we have been denied, we will take by death’s right.
