What do you mean Trent and Geoff were rivaling? I don’t remember that at all. I mean I haven’t watched the shows since they aired so I don’t not believe you but yeah.
not even rivalling in the typical terms, i mean they straight up Do Not like each other. even in season one, though it becomes more obvious by season two.
while i have a whole other tirade on why i think they would hate each other and an even LONGER one on how i think geoff is a villain that no one talks about, ill try to keep it to the point here.
in season one, we see things like this:
- trent happily asking chris to make it hail harder on geoff and hurt him more
- trent slamming the jet ski into geoff in a flashback
- trent hitting geoff with his guitar case
- geoff eager to force trent to eat the disgusting food
and in season two we see geoff actively not liking trent:
- geoff smashing trents guitar
geoff is not that much of an idiot. he may say the wrong things sometimes and may not be the most booksmart but he knows the difference between a piñata and guitar
- laughs when he “accidentally” reveals that gwen betrayed trent…in front of trent (not to mention its canon geoff leaves the green room cameras on 24/7 as revealed in world tour. this was planned.)
- refuses to defend trent, makes him look bad in the recaps
- laughs and is happy at the idea of the hammer in ‘truth or hammer’ hitting him
- BRIDGETTE apologizes FOR geoff when it came to geoff “accidentally” leaving the camera on. geoff never apologizes to him at all.
so yeah. just a few things they do to terrorize each other. i have a whole reason i think why they wouldnt like each other but basically i also think its just a fun callback to camp tv!!!!
