On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.
Please sign this petition to help Keira to get her baby back.
Can you spare a minute to help this campaign?
Hey, it's really important for Keira to get 50,000 signatures on this petition before her court date in early April 2025. Please sign if you haven't already to help a mother and a people stand up to colonialism and for indigenous rights.
they only need 1800-ish more signatures!!!! they're so close to the goal!!!!

Reblogging this means that you want people to send you asks!
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
Honey, what's tommorow again?

Your Kindness is Our Strength 🙏
Some days, I don’t know how we keep going. The loss, the fear, the uncertainty—it weighs so heavily. But then I see the kindness of strangers, the generosity of people who have never met us but still choose to help, and I remember why we hold on.
Because of you, we have reached $2,200. It may seem small compared to what we need, but it is hope. It is proof that we have not been forgotten.
💔 25 family members lost forever. 💔 Displacement, grief, and exhaustion. 💔 Each day is a battle for survival.
But your support makes each day a little less impossible. Your kindness gives us the strength to keep going.
If you can help, even a small donation means everything. If you can’t, just sharing this post could reach someone who can. We are not giving up, and that’s because of you.

really heavily reject this idea that just by virtue of being oppressed you understand everything about all types of oppression, and that reading theory is unnecessary or is something that unoppressed people do to make themselves feel good. do not fall for this trap. you need to be reading . you need to be learning. your own ideas are good but they can only carry you so far. learn from others.
idk i feel like there’s this big trend lately where people keep trying to “revolutionize” doing nothing. and it goes hand in hand with the way suddenly everyone needs to be a radical activist changemaker too. and sure, being visibly apart of an oppressed group, experiencing joy as a part of that group, etc, those are all things that can be revolutionary . don’t get me wrong. but if you consider yourself an activist (and you really don’t have to!) that can’t be your only act of activism. you cannot be a radical activist by just existing. you need to go out and engage with your community. you need to read theory and you need to learn and you need to help the people around you . existing is not enough. idk im tired
i think that’s why all those “rest is radical action” think pieces always felt off to me. because radical action is radical action. we can’t identity politics our way into believing watching the barbie movie is somehow a grand act of feminist praxis. or something along those lines
also if simply being oppressed was enough to gain a good understanding of the workings of systems of oppression and how to combat them, then we wouldn’t have gay cops or immigrant trump voters. your own personal perspective only gets you so far .
like you want to be an “activist” but you don’t want to help anyone and you don’t want to read theory and you don’t want to dedicate your time to learning and correcting yourself and others . you just want to post a comment on tiktok every so often about how the worlds gone to shit and then feel good about yourself. so you don’t want to be an activist! and that’s ok.
Extremely on point about the "being oppressed isn't activism"
I want to add though, the "rest is radical action" is something i only know from a specific context, and that is to get disabled people to stop working themselves literally to death by ignoring their bodies medical needs. A context in which i do uphold that this is relevant.
And self care is relevant so you're able to keep fighting the good fight, but for self care to be part of activism you do need to also do the activism.
just as a general reminder
learn how to fact-check for yourself, cause soon enough, most online sources won't be reliable
hot (bitter) take but getting asked for your pronouns is kind of useless when you use anything but One of the big three. cis people short circuit when you answer with it/its or neopronouns or even just multiple alternating sets
one time a girl asked my pronouns, i told her it/its, she tried ONCE before asking if she could just use they/them. right in front of my salad. like why even ask me at that point
people have talked about how it's not okay to they/them someone who you know uses she/her or he/him but it's also not okay to do that to someone who uses any other pronoun set. neopronouns & it/its are not interchangeable with they/them! xe/xyr is not code for "if you want a challenge try this out but otherwise they/them me because all non-binary pronouns are basically the same anyways" that is the devil talking!!!!!!!
YOU ARE STILL MISGENDERING PEOPLE EVEN IF THEY ARE NONBINARY AND YOU USE THEY/THEM IN PLACE OF THEIR ACTUAL PRONOUNS
