Inktober 01 & 02

I’m drawing these inside a book I usually do creative writing in, so there will be a drawing and a piece of prose or a poem for the month of October!

Some plein air watercolour paintings over the past little while. You can really feel the summer bidding farewell as rains and clouds start to typify the mornings.

Under the fading sun, a dry pine tree in the last stretch of summer. On the patio on the new house, it's a race against time to draw during sunset. The air is calm and voices travel farther than you'd think.

The entry way into a traditional Hakka house, where an opening to the sky welcomes fresh air and the center depression collects water. Law Uk Folk Museum.

In the air conditioned compartment of the Star Ferry, hiding from the boat master to ride back and forth countless times. I was discovered in the end, but I got some nice sketches in, so hah!

It was getting chilly because air con is always full blast, even in cloudy weather. A cute kid was watching me draw.

Nothing but the house frame remains, yet plant-squatters come to make it their home. 荔枝窩 Lai Chi Wo, the abandoned Hakka village.

Roofs are caved in, and nature is reclaiming it's property. Brick walls are slowly coming undone, vines and hardy plants grow through the rubble,dust and soft webs settle in uninhabited houses. 荔枝窩 Lai Chi Wo, the abandoned Hakka village.

Along another trail of rich stories, a thunderstorm quickly swept over; luckily we were close to this abandoned shop.

pixel knight

some silhouette character explorations for a dropped game about a pixel knight. his sword is a cursor-like sharp thing, kinda humorous and aiming for "shovel knight" aesthetic.

Live figure drawing session! It was amazing! I don't know how to use pencil crayons, but I was trying to capture volume and shadow. My anatomy studies are paying off phew ( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧
