I love how this makes the entire process seem exactly as ridiculous as it is.

Based on the type of output this GTP-4 recruiter tool was made to give, the people doing hiring decisions would ideally like to read a short, casual, 2 paragraph text message about a candidate. But you can't submit that, no, no. What you gotta do is write several pages of extremely formal text, attach a CV that covers everything (relevant or not) and in the worst case print that shit on very expensive paper and pay postage and then you don't even know if anyone read it or not.

Only for a language modell to boil that down to a text you could have typed in a few minutes and sent for free.

Well, at least this way you can just tell the AI tool to hire you and it will recommend that, so that's a plus.
