No but you guys listen. listen. the set up is right there. Ranpo's undying loyalty to Fukuzawa + the Agency as established in the cannibalism arc. Ranpo willing to become the fyodor's (the demon's!) equal if that's what it takes to protect the ADA, as he eplained to Mushitarou. Ranpo being the symbolic head of the ADA who figured out the identity of the actual head of the DOA. Ranpo having the power to influence the entire police force to start questioning their beliefs re: the agency's guilt or innocence. Imagine you take all of this, his loyalty to the ADA and to his father figure and his conviction to solve crimes and fight injustices. and then imagine turning it all on its head by taking away what gave him a place in the world and a meaning in life!!! in the series where Ranpo could be said to be one of the few who have already truly found a reason to live!!!!!!!!

#ranpo deserve to be a bit evil #as a treat #but joking aside #that would be so interesting #i fucking love to see characters fall from grace #also something about ranpo having (some) angel symbolism #and fallen angels being a thing that keeps getting mentioned/symbolized #like in the play from untold origins 👀#now I know that the fallen angels from the play were supposed to represent ability users #BUT #We also know that most abilities are born from trauma #and like #…#ranpo is not in the best situation right now if you get what I’m saying

It would allow for *some* control during & ending Corruption

It would allow for *total* control during & ending Corruption

It would override the experiments and revert it back to ability enhancing

#I think fukuzawa’s ability would affect chuuya’s base ability (ability enhancement)#and therefore making it stop the singularity it creates #and reverting it back #BUT #i think Chuuya could also recreate the singularity if he decided to use his ability on himself #I’m not sure if he could stop it on his own though #maybe he would still need dazai to stop the singularity #but that mean he could potentially switch from ability enhancement to gravity manipulation #that being said idk about corruption #maybe it would be impossible to use it since fukuzawa’s ability tend to calm abilities down a bit

Thinking about this scene, actually

If we’re running with the assumption that the Colelctor is referring to his own tears, this has… interesting implications about their character.

For starters, this isn’t really the first time we see the Collector crying. There’s this scene, after all.

But, even though they’re clearly distraught, there aren’t actually any tears. Which is kind of weird, right? A chance at having a real friend is clearly a big deal to them, but still, their eyes are dry.

When do they finally do it, then? During the fight with Belos, when he possesses the Titan and kills Luz. With Titan magic on his hands, the Collector cries tears for the first time.

But that isn’t the last time. The Collector tears up again, after the fight has ended, when Amity reaches out to him.

And this? This really makes me wonder, because he only actually starts crying after exposure to Titan magic.

We’ve seen that Titan magic is capable of cancelling out the Collector’s. From the Archivists’ genocide, to the Collector’s failing powers, and even the usage of the Light glyph. Titan magic counters Collector magic.

We’ve also seen that the Archivists, uh. didn’t really like the Collector. At all. Judging by the Collector’s words, they seemed pretty irritated with him.

So, when you’re a powerful magic being with an annoying child on your hands (and a blatant lack of morals), wouldn’t you want to shut them up?

When he’s crying, wouldn’t you make him stop?

This whole Sigma will join the ADA by the end of the Decay of Angels arc is a lovely wholesome idea but hold on. lets be real for a sec. Is the ADA going to even be a THING by the end of this arc? How the hell do they recover from this arc?

They've been framed as terrorists, they're on the run, reality has literally been altered so that no one will believe them, their members are scattered, 3 actively dying, FUKUZAWA likely wont make it out of this arc. And, its definitley not just the ADA that won't recover, the Port Mafia's actively falling apart right now too! Nearly all the members we know save for Mori, Kouyou, and Verlaine have become mindless vampire puppets! The Hunting Dogs unit will be disbanded once it's known that 2 of it's 5 members are actively involved in a world domination scheme. Not to mention the Special Division is in such a tight bind considering Taneda's out of commission and they have to take responsibility for this ENTIRE situation!

Ending the vampire outbreak might be an immediate solution but golly these groups have been so thouroughly destroyed. Natsume's Tripartite Framework is in shambles! And it's been a mess since the very beginning! The ADA and Port Mafia were at odds all the time and the Special Division stood complacently aside! The framework is a disaster! Is it just going to go back to the way it was?

Will they just get their hands on the Book and undo all the damage that's been done? Because that would be imo an AWFUL way of handling things. It would be so unsatisfactory. It would be actively erasing so much of this deveopment by just undoing what went wrong. Do we really want things to go back to the way things were? Where the ada was good and the mafia was evil and they were at odds all the time or we'll just say they're in an "alliance" and let that be the end? No! I want these people to suffer as humans and that mean things cant just go back to how they were.

Like i was taking abt this nawy(hiiiii) but now i really do feel like the ADA and PM will be done soon.

#i wonder if this is somehow part of fyodor’s plan or something #because we already know tha the wants ability users gone #but even if he dies in the next chapter(s) this sound like a good situation from his point of view #not only will the public know about abilities due to the vampire outbreak #but every gifted organization is in a bad spot #the public opinion on ability users will probably be awful #i wouldn’t be surprised if this could somehow spark a war against ability users #from the public’s point of view even the government and military gifted organizations failed them #and this whole arc is just a giant proof of how dangerous abilities can be #i’m just rambling at this point #but there is just no way that things will go back to the way they were #the sociopolitical situation is too different
