Films I Adore
1. Meet Joe Black (1998)
Quote: “Love is passion. Obsession. Someone you can’t live without. Someone you fall head over heels for. Find someone you can love like crazy and will love you the same way back. Listen to your heart. No sense in life without this. To make the journey without falling deeply in love, you haven’t lived a life at all. You have to try, because if you haven’t tried, then you haven’t lived.”
2. While You Were Sleeping (1995)
Quote: “He would get these far-off looks in his eyes and he would say ‘Life doesn’t always turn out the way you plan’. I just wish I’d realized at the time, he was talking about MY life.”
3. Love and Other Drugs (2010)
Quote: “You meet thousands of people and none of them really touch you. And then you meet one person and your life is changed forever.”
4. The Notebook (2004)
Quote: “They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time—and they challenged each other every day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common: They were crazy about each other.”
5. A Walk to Remember (2002)
Quote: “Maybe God has a bigger plan for me than I had for myself. Like this journey never ends. Like you were sent to me because I’m sick. To help me through all this. You’re my angel.”
6. Father of the Bride (1991)
Quote: “Right then I realized, my day had passed. She’ll always love me, of course, but not in the same way. I was no longer the man in my little girl’s life. I was like an old shoe. The kind we manufacture and get all excited about, then after a few years discontinue. That was me now. Mr. Discontinued.”
7. Something Borrowed (2011)
Quote: “You’re not the only one who hasn’t been living his life, I haven’t either, but I want to live it now, and I want to live it with YOU.”
8. The Ugly Truth (2009)
Quote: “The big strong brave men, that we’ve all been reading about in novels and watching in movies since we’ve been nine years old - - that’s a fallacy. They don’t exist. Men are not strong. Men are not brave. Men, are afraid. Even if they have a moment in a hotel elevator and it’s totally romantic and full of potential, men are incapable of copping to it because, why? Men are weak.”
9. Dear John (2010)
Quote: “The problem with time, I’ve learned, whether it’s those first two weeks I got to spend with you, or the final two months I got to spend with him, eventually time always runs out. I have no idea where you are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago. No matter how many years go by, I know one thing to be as true as it ever was - I’ll see you soon then.”
10. 27 Dresses (2008)
Quote: “Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is slowly losing your mind.”

Daily reminder: always do the things you do because they resonate with your soul and make you feel good. Please never do things because others do them and you want to match or compete with them. It’s not genuine and it’s a waste of your energy and time. I only spend my time doing the things that bring me utmost joy and peace (most of the things I do and have done I’ve loved to do since I was a child, which to me signifies a sincere love) I know people who will go out of their way to imitate and take on parts of your identity because they don’t know who they are. Don’t be guilty of this trap. I know how easy it is to be influenced/brainwashed in this day and age, which is why it’s so important to encourage individuality and promote these kinds of messages. So many of us have drifted from our paths trying to keep up with others. Childhood to present my soul has always remained the same and I am incredibly thankful to myself. My love for everything that I do is a big part of who I am and I own every part of it.
And to clarify: you can discover new interests and practices that you knew nothing about before and still have a sincere love for it. Sometimes we don’t discover these parts of us until we’re at a certain age in our lives. Your soul will know. If you feel happy, serene or passion while doing something take this as a sign that it was always meant for you and apply it to your life. The people who are subject to following instead of leading you’re only going to make your path confusing and muddled. You will never know the realest form of yourself if you don’t break free from barriers. Don’t subject yourself to a box with someone else’s name on it.
