I should probably make an actual thing here...

   Hi there, I’m Cinnaki, and after ten years, I’m making my way back in to the art and writing scene. Where have I been? Don’t worry about that, just know that I’m back and even more unhinged than I was before.

   I am taking commissions, which you can find at my Ko-Fi for both sketches, and writings at this time. Sketches will be slower, as I do have a lovely mix of fibromyalgia, and ehlers danlos hypermobility syndrome...with chronic pain. So, frequently my  hands just do not work. Mostly my wrists, elbows, and upper arms where the drawing muscles come from.

   Both types are name your price for the moment, starting at $20

   I am completely confidential, if you so wish to be.

   I am okay with lemons, limes, oranges, but not jiving with dead doves much. I straight up refuse to do any lemons with questionably aged characters, scat and waterworks, and have the right to refuse other comms on a case-by-case basis. i don’t mean it personally, I’m just uncomfortable with it.

   I will not do any writing for any piece of media I have not seen...and if I have not seen it, pitch it to me like a used car salesman, I might put it on the list.

You know how canaries were historically brought into coal mines, because if the mine was full of carbon monoxide the canary would die first and the miners would be able to escape before they died too?

I just found the greatest thing.

This is a canary resuscitator.

When the miners notice the canary getting sick with carbon monoxide poisoning, they can close that circular hatch so no more gas gets into the canary cage, and open the valve on that oxygen tank to keep the canary breathing. In other words, they made a spacesuit for birds.

By immediately giving the canary access to clean air, the miners can save it from the poison. The bird lives. To be clear, this is not for economic purposes, this was specifically created because the miners felt bad and wanted to save the bird.

Isn’t that just the perfect demonstration of what humans are like? We started sacrificing small creatures to save ourselves, and then felt bad and spent our valuable resources on saving the critters too. Because yeah the canary was the only way to test for CO, but it’s a living creature too, dammit!

Something about this is so genuine and funky. It feels so natural that if I heard the correct lyrics it wouldn't process as right in my brain.
