Support a Black Disabled Couple for Disability Pride Month
(id in alt text, DO NOT TAG UNLESS FOR ACCESSIBILITY REASONS!!)
new monthly post for disability pride month (aka wrath month)! our situation largely has not changed. we are both in between jobs and rent has gone up in addition to still having many expenses we cannot afford. my wife's links and my pay links are available for folks to donate; we also have a shared patreon that covers our biggest utility bill, and a ko-fi for folks who prefer that. lastly, we have a registry of items that would improve our quality of life!! reblogs and donations help so so much and are crucial to our survival. please chip in if you can.
i dont know how else i can stress that we need fucking donations. we still have bills we have to pay and we still have to eat, and until one of us is employed and being paid we have to dip into rent funds to cover those expenses and we NEED PEOPLE TO BE DONATING CONSISTENTLY. we have exhausted all of our other options. we need people to stop watching us suffer and fucking HELP.
my wife's links | my pay link options (Leave a house emoji in payment note so i can set aside rent funds!!)
as a tme nonbinary person you kind of either have to not know any tma nonbinary people or not give a shit about them to think that "tma nonbinary people are subjected to far more discrimination and violence and put in a profoundly more precarious social position" is up for debate
My name is Tawi, and I’m reaching out for help for myself and my girlfriend. I know you’ve probably seen my fundraisers floating around before, and while I am still working doing art commissions, it’s hard for me to get hired anywhere in a wheelchair. Both my girlfriend and I are disabled and I myself am currently living in a food desert, where it’s nearly impossible to find affordable groceries, safe sidewalks, or reliable healthcare. The sidewalks in our area are so poorly maintained that my wheelchair motor is constantly at risk, it's the fifth time it's broken and everytime it breaks its a $500 repair, and the lack of accessible housing and medical care has made daily life a real struggle for me. Furthermore, the house that I’ve been staying in for the last year has five flights of stairs, including the first two to get into the building, and it’s been a nightmare getting in and out of the house with my wheelchair.
On top of all the expenses needed to move, I also have a sick kitty that I’m caring for, and the vet has recently located a tumor where her kidney is, and she’s continuing to pee blood even after her round of antibiotics, and she’s having an increasingly hard time keeping weight on.
Id like to move to a state where I can finally access better healthcare for me and my cat, find a place I can actually afford that’s not on the third floor, and live in a community where I can get around safely. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward moving expenses, car insurance, gas, securing a new place to live, and covering the gap in healthcare coverage during my transition. Some of you may recall when I was hatecrimed a year and some change back, where my belongings were trashed and my wheelchair and crutches were stolen, this money would also be going to help me find community in a more accepting area where I no longer have to live with strangers and be at risk for something like this happening again. Every bit of support will help us take this important step toward a safer, healthier, and more independent life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. Even if you’re not able to donate, just sharing our fundraiser means the world to us and brings us closer to our goal, and puts me in a more stable financial situation to complete the last year of my bachelor’s degree! Your kindness and support truly make a difference.
hii everyone. my gf has been having a really severe go of it this year (and honestly the last several)
i would really like to get her out to here my state where she can have more thorough medical access + generally be someplace more affordable and with community that takes her health and wellness seriously as a disabled black trans person. please consider helping her get a little bit of stability in a really rough time, and please share 💚

My baby Qais will die because his surgery is delayed. As an oppressed mother in Gaza, I am forced to postpone his surgical procedure —not by choice, but because this post is ignored and not shared.
I will not forgive anyone who watches my child fade and scrolls past without mercy. One share delays his death—but one donation can end this waiting and bring his surgery closer today.
I am pleading with you as a persecuted mother in Gaza, helplessly watching my baby bleed before my eyes with no way to ease his pain. Please donate today and help me save his life before it is too late.
My baby Qais has run out of medicine, and I urgently need to buy a new supply, but I simply do not have the money. To everyone who helped us before, I am begging you from my heart—please consider supporting Qais again today. Your kindness has kept him going, and he still desperately needs your help.
Donations have completely stopped, and today the hospital administration warned they may expel us because I cannot afford my baby Qais’s treatment anymore. Please, I beg you through my tears, donate now before my child is abandoned without care.
While we wait for a surgery we cannot afford, my baby Qais continues to suffer every day. Time is not standing still for him. Please donate now and help us reach treatment before it becomes too late.
I’m saying this with a heart that can’t take more pain. If you read this and scroll away, I won’t forgive you. My baby is slipping away. Please donate now, please share—save Qais.
like i know venezuela is going through a huge humanitarian crisis right now and their political regime is low in the list of priorities when tallinmg about it obviously it's just it shocked me to read trump congratulating his secretary of energy on how well he's running what used to be a sovereign country until a few months back you know

a ton of people have unexpectedly followed me over the last 2 days so here is my rent-lowering gunshot:
the american south is the most racially diverse and poorest region of the united states, and any political sentiment that treats the south is stupid or expendable is inherently racist and classist. a lot of y'all are racist and classist. the south is also the heart of american culture. argue with a wall. you cannot deny that everybody in the entire world does not emulate artists from atlanta. there is vested interest in keeping the south poor and uneducated BECAUSE this is the most racially diverse region in this country. if you actually give a fuck about progress, you would fight for the south, not mock us.
