This deserves a critical eye, the union was not organized by drivers but rather by an independent third party which is closely partnered with Uber and Lyft (more info on IDG in the link above). It's also worth calling into question why Uber and Lyft did not oppose question 3 when it was on the ballot.

This question passed in Massachusetts in 2024 with basically no opposition, because on the surface it looks like a positive measure for workers rights, but any measure which would improve the conditions of the working class will always be opposed by any means possible by the capitalists. It is actively in their worst interests as the ruling class for the proletariat to take even a modicum of pressure of the boot off their neck.

Working class power will not come from a ballot measure or from begging your representatives, it will come from within the working class to recognize their collective potential to make demands on their terms

i do wonder what marxs fully fledged ideas on morgans anciety wouldve been, because his notes on the book, as little as they were (90 something pages but it was largely copying from the original text directly), show deviation from engels' conclusion about the construction of gender

bc engels saw it purely as an economic force which created gender (not his exact words bc, well, it was the 1800s and they didnt really have gender theory). but rather marx's notes imply he saw the seeds of patriarchy as something which started to emerge prior to civilization, and contained the dialectical approach that we both act on and are acted on by social forces. meaning it could not have solely been the creation of economy which created the patriarchy.

and i think marx's analysis would have been oppositional to radfem theory. unfortunately engels' analysis leaves room for radfems to call themselves marxist, by conflating engels' and marx's ideas as one and the same

and dgmw i think radfems would still pretend to be marxist even if marx had written whatever it was he was planning, but it would be a lot easier to point out the contradictions in radfem logic as inherently anti marxist. not that we need more of marx's writings to be able to create a marxist feminism (which is also transfeminist btw if done correctly), since obviously marxist feminism already exists
