I don’t know if you’ve done this or not but can you do silmarillion dividers please 🙏❤️
Hello - thanks for sending this in! I put together some based on my fave Silmarillion book art, and then a couple that just sort of had Tolkien vibes. The text is the One Ring, and then the beginning of the poem Namárië.
I hope you like these! 💕

Took way too long for my doing but love how it came out
First didn't know what (text) to put in the middle but came up with this and it was the best idea i have come up with ever
(sorry if my English is trash im not a native speaker)
Alassëa nosta!
But Húrin Thalion suffered no longer silent wordless
Through clenched teeth in clinging pain
O accursed king, cried unwavering
Thy hopes build not so high Bauglir
No tool am I for thy treasons vile
Who tryst nor troth
Ever true holdest
Seek traitors elsewhere
(From The Lay of the Children of Húrin, perhaps the most visceral of Tolkien’s depictions of Húrin in Angband. While I prefer the dialogue in the canon Narn, the descriptions of Húrin’s imprisonment and anguish in LoCoH are fantastic)
Im going to do a follow up with the paragraph from the Lay of Leithian where Maedhros’s rescue is described.
Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand. For the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand.

“Far over the Misty Mountains cold To dungeons deep, and caverns old We must away ere break of day To seek the pale, enchanted gold.”
“May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks.” I am a huge nerd.
The first few pages of my tengwar version of the Silmarillion’s first chapter; the Ainulindale.

Tengwar by yours truely.
Oh my God, so much envy. My Tengwar is atrocious, but yours is so lovely! This inspires me to try practising again. Amazing work. ♡
obstakel Here you go! I hope you enjoy.
“My featherbed is deep and soft, and there I’ll lay you down, I’ll dress you all in yellow silk and on your head a crown. For you shall be my lady love, and I shall be your lord. I’ll always keep you warm and safe, and guard you with my sword. And how she smiled and how she laughed, the maiden of the tree. She spun away and said to him, no featherbed for me. I’ll wear a gown of golden leaves, and bind my hair with grass, But you can be my forest love, and me your forest lass.” ― George R.R. Martin, A Storm of Swords
A delicate flower… A single drop of rain should bring life and growth. As a struggle in life is said to make us stronger. For this flower a single struggle… A single drop of rain is enough to destroy and put out the flame of hope that flickers within.

An illumination (and details) of an excerpt of the Silmarillion, text reads:
And he spoke to them, propounding to them themes of music; and they sang before him, and he was glad.
A Christmas present for my mother, who loves Tolkien, illumination, and music, in nearly equal measure.
oooh what's the tengwar on the map translate to???? I also have one on my wall but I don't know tengwar (yet).
So the Middle-earth map has two Tolkien poems/songs written around theedges in Tengwar. There are actually two versions of the map [a full version and smaller version]. Themost common one seems to be the smaller version which cuts off Haradwaith, but in doing so it also cuts offsome of the Tengwar. Here is the full translation of the larger map which does not cut off the writing.
The first (West, North, East) reads: (W) In western lands beneath the sun the flowers may rise in spring, the trees may bud, the waters run, the merry finches sing. Or there maybe tis cloudless night and sway- (N) -ing beeches bear the elven stars as jewels white amid their branching hair. Though here at journey’s end I lie in darkness buried deep, beyond all towers st- (E) -rong and high, beyond all mountains steep, above all shadows rides the sun and stars forever dwell, I will not say the day is done, nor bid the stars farewell. JRRT(Sam sings this in RotK. Click here to read in full with correct line breaks)And the second one on the bottom (South) reads: To the sea! The white gulls are crying, the wind is blowing, and the white foam is flying. West, west away. The round sun is falling. Grey ship do you hear them calling?(Legolas sings this in RotK. Click here to read the rest.)
Found these when I was looking through some old papers… I had completely forgotten I had written these years ago so it was like finding a long lost treasure <3
Now I feel like writing more of them.. (¤_¤)
Sometimes I write pretty things in Beleriand Tengwar…Then I write things like this.
