GINNY GARDNER —— Well, if it isn’t NARCISSA BLACK, the SLYTHERIN superstar. For those of you who don’t know HER, you can spot them sitting with the other SIXTH years. Most people think that they’re CURIOUS and EMPATHETIC, but they can also seem pretty COMPLICIT and INSECURE. Sometimes people call them the SYCOPHANT. Sure, they’re a PUREBLOOD, but that doesn’t ( IT DOES) define them.

ah yes, baby black-- a vile of poison that’s halfway through brewing. the youngest of the trio, her smile is the most shallow of the three. her mother taught her well, a string of pearls acting more as a collar than an accessory. narcissa is consistently poised, constantly fearing of letting the mirage of her ancestors slip. you’ll never catch her out of the act that she puts on for the world, not unless she wants you to. 

and trust, she doesn’t. 

she has yet to be betrothed to anyone, but her parents are on the hunt-- make them an offer. ( plz don’t, let her be a free bird ) narcissa was bred and trained to be a good wife. family before all else unless their name is sirius, bite your tongue until it bleeds, then use that blood to add some color to your face. 

her family > everything else mentality has made her incredibly loyal but in the wrong way? like she will love you endlessly and back every decision you make EVEN IF THEY’RE BAD AND SHE DOESN’T AGREE MORALLY. she turns a blind eye to the evil around her and follows the path of her mother and eldest sister without looking at the other roads around her. 

a wandering eye gets plucked out in the black family. 

she’s catty, rude and a general bitch to those outside of the pureblood circle. or ppl who aren’t slytherins. or ppl who aren’t ~cool~ i’m sry. but if you fall into any of these categories? A1 friend, she great. supportive and cute and fun. even if ur a shitty person, she’ll be #loving. 

she’s dealing with some severe feelings of being trapped, but has NEVER voiced this to anyone. that involves telling someone she’s unhappy and that opens a whole can of worms. she’ll just longingly watch people who are good and loved and free and wonder what it’s like.

his  cold  gaze  appeared  only  briefly,                         the  disappointment  originating  from  somewhere  else.                                                     his  mother  wasn’t  sick,  but  that  didn’t  matter  as  he  narrowed  his  gaze  before  leaving  her  behind.

NARCISSA.

                  she was left alone in the hallway,                                her pride had isolated her yet again. 

a satisfied smirk curled hideously up       as she breezed down the hall. narcissa only turned her head once                to look back in his direction,     curious about the damage she’d actually done.

                             she was all stiff smiles and impeccable posture.               too short to be considered statuesque, despite how easily she was molded under the hands of her creators. 

                                         which is why she said nothing when rodolphus approached. 

their futures were in another’s hands, her words, like his, didn’t matter. 

                                                      they never would. 

               so narcissa smiled, as she always did in his presence.       it was the polite thing to do when encountering a stranger.                               especially when you may be walking down the isle one day.

I was really drawn to Karolina’s complexity.  I really love diving into these characters and seeing how relatable they are to other people, too. People aren’t always what meets the eye right away. It’s really human even though they’re superhuman. Like the Superhuman Breakfast Club.
