FKM FINAL VIDEO
Here’s the final animated video for my project. Enjoy! :)
FKM GIF
Oh shit I got a gif.
FKM Style Tile
Whipped up a quick one. Pretty self-explanatory. Nah not really. But yeah. It is what it is. Which is a style tile. Also type choice is quite self-explanatory lol.
Stickers and Icons
Pretty much the final stickers and the icons I’ve created for the project. I decided to create stickers as a part of the visual language I’m trying to change along with the video.
Current Icons and Isometric Grid
My colour palette for the video. The actual colours are the ones in the last photo. Using an isometric grid to create my graphic elements for my video. Also decided to print all the icons onto stickers as a part of the project.
Process Photos? Part 2
Part 2, more of the same. These might make sense when you see the final video perhaps.
Process Photos? Part 1
Just showing a bit of how I work and what goes through my mind. Probably might not even understand what I’m doing here, neither do I. But it works? I got part 2 coming up next.
FKM - Floral Kids Movement
Changing the visual language of medical cannabis.
This is what I’ve titled and define my project. FKM pronounced as Fuck Em. Floral Kids was inspired by Tyler the Creator’s recent album, Flower Boy. Also, the term ‘floral’ is a reference to the cannabis flower.
Why is cannabis illegal?
My unfinished motion graphic response to the question. I wanted to inform people about what I discovered regarding how cannabis became illegal. Wanted to finish this but had to move on to my final motion graphics video. I had some feedback from G on how this video was and had some suggestions on how to improve the motion graphics transitions within the video. The goal for this video and my project, in general, was to bring a new perspective on information regarding cannabis. Specifically, medical cannabis. And I wanted to communicate this information through motion storytelling and educating the viewers in an engaging way.
New Icons
New idea. New Direction.
Cannabis Brands & Products
Just had a look at a variety of cannabis brands and products and seeing the visual language used in the logos, etc.
Morgan’s Accident
Just a short light-hearted animation depicting Morgan Freeman’s accident leading to his use of medical cannabis.
When I was finishing off making this animation, I realised that this was not the delivery I wanted for the project. I got carried away animating it like an animation rather than MOTION GRAPHICS, which was my original intention. I’m gonna stop the celebrity animation series and switch to a different direction for this project. Fuck...
Morgan’s Accident Scenes
Just some key scene screen shots from the animation.
Celebrity Storyboard
Another storyboard but just using images as a reference for each scene. 3 different storyboards based on the previously mentioned celebrities.
Quick Celebrity Storyboards Idea
This was gonna be my initial series for the project. Where I’d promote the medical use of cannabis through popular celebrities such as Morgan Freeman, Patrick Stewart, and Whoopi Goldberg to try and shift the perspective towards cannabis. The plan was to make light hearted video animation depicting the celebreties’ use of medical cannabis.
Women have long used over-the-counter pills to treat cramps, but 'View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg has an herbal remedy: medical marijuana.
Whoopi uses medical cannabis to ease migraines caused by glaucoma. She uses cannabis oil and vapes it. She’s also released CBD products for women such as bath soak, raw cacao, body balm and tinctures to help relieve menstrual pain.
