If I wasn’t a travel editor I’d definitely be a food writer. I love meeting people who share this passion with me and Australian chef Dan Hunter certainly falls into that bracket. He revolutionised the concept of farm-to-table by setting up a farm on the premises of his latest restaurant, Brae, a few hours from Melbourne. He plans his menu around what’s fresh and available in his garden, picking veg, fruit and foraging for local ingredients just hours before he serves his diners. Divine! How much do I wish I were here right now, instead of huddling under a blanket on my sofa? This spectacular view is of Oludeniz, one of the most picturesque areas of Turkey. The photo was taken by Burak Tuzer, paraglider and photographer extraordinaire who gets to call this little piece of paradise home. Check out his awesome Instagram feed @buraktuzer. And if you’re visiting Oludeniz this summer, he and his brother run the best paragliding school (Sky Sports) in the area. Because, like Burak told me, why would you want to sit on the beach when you can soar above it like a bird?
