She was not hated by "us" English.

Harry is our boy (as will all of his children be) we are so proud of him and all he has achieved. He has grown in to a wonderful man. We were just happy to see him happy. Then her family started to sell their stories and how they wouldn't be at the wedding, her attitude towards them and others. Then we watched as the facade began to slip as is often the case when anyone gets in to a situation they aren't 100% in wholeheartedly.

Then we watched and hoped that his love would not hurt him. Now we watch as his relationship with his brother and family is being destroyed.

It is not a matter of race its a matter for authenticity.

She is not a victim.

The Royal family have never spoken negative of Meghan her own family however have. That speaks volumes. Harry is such a good man and has been raised properly that of course he would do anything for his wife and children.

.As a proud English person who loves that we actually have a living history "of the Royal family" in a time where we are told we sould forget, replace or rewrite our collective history. I think we should know and understand our history. So as to learn from it, bring the good forward with us to create a better future, yet not forget the bad and the bloody least we repeat it. As an understanding person I see it from both sides. What I'm saying and stating is, it was her family that spoke negatively of her not his. The pressure of being in the Royal family must be imense and one I don't think I could carry. They are like birds in a cage, now that cage may be gilded yes, but it's a cage nonetheless. He flatly said he wouldn't have left if it wasn't for her, he would do anything to keep his family safe. His a good man. He also stated that his mum wouldn't have been happy with his choice but would have loved Meghan. I think she married him for the wrong reasons. I believe he loves her with all that he is. Its heartbreaking really. I believe the skin colour was more then likely one of his cousins trying to be funny, and that isn't acceptable. The Queen has lived a life of service as have those that came before. To actually believe they *any of them* have any say in what they have to do on a day to day basis is ridiculous. It's a hard life and one I don't envy. They are held to a standard that is undescribable. Now is this fair in the name of tradition? I don't know... What I do know it that I'm proud to have them and  could never image nor understand the sacrifice they have to make. Their lives are planned for them from the moment of concepcion and all under the scrutiny of the rest of the world. It is not an easy-going flying here and there money flowing from your pockets stardom. Its a living history our Monarchy.

As for the press they have ripped every member of the household at one point and another. Again is this justified? I'd say no, yet people goble it up. The Royal Household never comment on the press. They do not contribute to feeding the monster that is the press as we all know its not real journalism.

They have press releases or statements for certain things but not personal matters. They do not side with the press one bit but we have freedom of speech here. They can say pretty much what they want.

As i watched the interview i found it extremely disingenuous on her part. It felt as if she was playing a role of how she thought she wanted to world to see her. Harry however looks at her with such love utterly unconditional and protective. I actually wish I'm proven wrong for his sake.
