BIOGRAPHY

She was strikingly beautiful, with a kind glow that flickered in her eyes, with a responsive warmth in her smile and a spontaneity in her voice that fell with gentle melody on the ears of her peers and professors. She spoke in the soft slurring voice of the coastal United Kingdom, liquid of vowels, kind to consonants and with a trace of French accent. It was a voice that never raised in command to a servant or reproof to a child. 

As far as anybody could remember, Dani had always been the same, her voice soft and sweet whether in praising or in reproofing, her manner efficient and unruffled despite the daily emergencies in Gryffindor house, her spirit was always calm and her back unbowed.

Nobody had ever seen Dani stirred from her austere placidity, nor her personal appointments anything but perfect no matter the hour of the day or night. She was a prefect of Gryffindor and proud to be so. Her commitment to the position was enough to keep the entirety of the house calm and collected. 

It was always soothing for everybody to hear Dani’s whispers in the night, if one was caught out of bed. She would speak compassionately, so as not to stir any of the paintings or professors that could be lurking about the damp castle at night, and turn them back to bed without any sort of punishment. Yes, it was good to creep back into bed and know that Dani Rivas was abroad in the night and everything was right.

Okay, so I'm waiting for a couple more submissions before I accept. I just want a certain amount of characters to be taken before we start this thing. Right now, we only have a couple of characters that have been auditioned for. Well, that and somebody just submitted a lovely application to play Dani! Totally random, wasn't expecting it, but very thrilled at the same time! But I digress... And so sorry to those of you who have sent in apps. I promise that I'll let you know whether or not you're in.

BIOGRAPHY

Behind his choleric exterior Finn Hudson had the tenderest of hearts. He could not bear to see a house elf pouting under a reprimand, or hear a kitten mewing or child crying; but he had a horror of having these weaknesses discovered. It didn’t help that he was placed in Hufflepuff, the house of the tenderhearted. That everyone who met him did discover his kindly heart within five minutes was unknown to him; and his vanity would have suffered tremendously if he had found it out, for he liked to think that when he bawled orders at the top of his lungs on both the Quidditch team and on duty, everyone trembled and obeyed. It had never occurred to him that only one voice was obeyed by the large Hufflepuff boy -the soft voice of his secret crush.

BIOGRAPHY

Brody Weston was courteous always, but aloof, remote. Nobody could ever tell what he was thinking about, least of all his peers. In a school where everyone said exactly what they thought about as soon as they thought about it, Brody’s quality of reserve was near exasperating. He was as proficient as any of the other young men in Slytherin, playing Quidditch, joking with friends, studying intently, and he was the best broomstick flyer of them all; but he differed from the rest in that those pleasant activities were not end and aim of life to him. And he stood alone in his interest in books and music and his fondness of writing poetry.

All of the girls thought him stunningly handsome, so courteously aloof, so maddeningly boring with his talk about books and music and poetry and things that just did not interest many girls- so why did they find him so desirable? 

Brody was born in a line of men who used their leisure for thinking, not doing, for spinning brightly colored dreams that had in them no touch of reality. He moved in an inner world that was more beautiful than Europe and came back to reality with reluctance. He looked on people, and he neither liked nor disliked them. He looked on life and was neither heartened or saddened. He accepted the universe and his place in it for what what they were and, shrugging, turned to his music and books and his better world.

BIOGRAPHY

If the educational equipment which Artie brought with him his first day at Hogwarts was scant, he did not know it. Nor would he have cared if he had been told. His mother had taught him to read and write a clear hand. The only Latin he knew was the the responses of Mass that his muggle grandmother would spew out, and the only history he knew was the recent history of Sweden. He knew no poetry, spells or defensive maneouvors. The only thing he really had experience in was music. The sweet sound of lute and guitar that had traveled through the years. He had no education to him, because his family just didn’t think at the moment it was vital. So when he was placed into Ravenclaw, the alleged house of the bright, charming and incredibly vain students, both he and his mother were surprised. It wasn't until his first year at Hogwarts, a scrawny eleven year old boy far behind everybody else, before he began to learn. And in his first years, though he entertained the liveliest respect for those who had more book learning than he, he knew he was far more brilliant than the rest of them. He didn't need to commit to text book reading, when his professors told him everything he needed to know. Why study excessively when one doesn't need to?

BIOGRAPHY

It was the belief, of her family and many before, that a girl in possession of good fortune should be well educated. This is the case of one, Kitty Wilde. She had always intended to go to school, but as the years passed she found that it simply did not suit her. Books fed her thoughts and a pen aided in scribbling those thoughts. The preachings of professors and strict rules of any sort of magic academy didn’t sound appealing and her mind was far sharper than any educator in her town. Further teachings than what her parents had given were not needed.

Her home life from the age of eight to eleven consisted of visits by suitors. Kitty's parents always tended to spend their evenings conjecturing how soon they would invite various boys over to the estate for some dinner. It seemed, to Kitty anyway, that their best interest was in their daughter’s marital status. They thought it a truth universally acknowledged, that a single boy must be looking for a wife. And since their daughter was caught at home, no man, no education, it was about time she move on.

When her twelfth birthday passed and there wasn’t a man to be found, Kitty’s parents thought of the next best thing (which surely would entertain their daughter, despite how she argued against it). Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy would be good for her. There, she would be able to get an education under her belt (even though she stressed that it wasn’t necessary), meet boys and converse with kids her own age. And though Kitty entertained hopes of escape, the inevitable happened and she was sent away from her quaint home to Hogwarts. There, she automatically grew accustomed to her lessons and the hustle of school life. She adapted socially, climbing her way up the social staircase until she stood at the top, nose turned high and a knowing grin plastered across her face. She could control most anybody and anything, nobody would think anything of it.
