Doctor Crowley was a vampire. And he always knew what to do. That was his job. He had to eliminate the lycan before its first transformation, when it was still a fragile and confused human, suffering from what they believe was an infection.

Then he met Mr Fell…

Crowley has been injecting silver in Fell’s bloodstream for a few days now and was surprised of how resilient the man was. Despite telling him it was to prevent further infection, Fell knew he was dying. And his last decision was to spend the last days he had left with Crowley.

It was the first time in the Doctor very long life that a total stranger wanted to spend their last moments with him. And suddenly he didn’t want Fell gone anymore. He could keep the secret. Save the lycan and control him so he can never be a danger for vampires…

AU where Crowley lied and said to God that the suggestion box was also Aziraphale’s idea.

They lied bc they genuinely thought that if they said that someone else had the same idea, it’d add weigh to their suggestion…

God knew it was a lie but just so Crowley could be devoured by guilt forever, She banished them both.

After that, Crowley undoubtedly felt so guilty toward Azazel (the demon name Aziraphale choose for himself) they decided to protect him the best they could from both Hell and Heaven.

Azazel never knew about Crowley’s lie. He just thought he had made a shtty job working on humans and thus got banished.

He is visually impaired, since he’s linked to the proteus salamander. And grew a moustache that actually helps him feel and “see” his surrounding!

And as the usual, these two have a hard time building a healthy relationship. Azazel is very much opened about his love for Crowley, mainly because he doesn’t fear Heaven anymore. But Crowley is still feeling very guilty, so they try to act distant. (but it’s so hard, they constantly fail)

crowley just wanted to create what creates, he made a nebula because it creates stars, he was so excited for that. and he's so so patient. millions of years before these beauties actually do something? so cool, it'll be amazing to see with my own two eyes, he says.

and i don't think he realizes he's just like his old angel self even as a demon. I mean, shit, he became the snake of eden, he instilled curiosity which instilled creation in humans. even aziraphale's loved books wouldn't exist without crowley's doing. and he's still so so patient - we see it with his relationship with aziraphale first and foremost

the repetition of Crowley saying, "i'm a demon, i lie" (white lies. little lies. he doesn't lie about stuff that actually matters) vs Aziraphale thinking he really does lie (about stuff that does matter, like not wanting to be an angel, like not being a good person, like not wanting forgiveness). they really are listening to each other but hearing something different. (aim for my mouth, shoot past my ear)

you really gotta trust someone to do a bullet catch. like you would trust everything they say and do and know, implicitly, that you’re safe in their hands. they trust each other so much— despite the fact that their “exactlies” are different “exactlies”. and it’s like they can only see that out of the corner of their eyes because when they look directly at it they’re blinded by something (love? devotion? loyalty? all of the above? who can say. it’s ineffable).

they put trust in each other over everything else, over hereditary enemies and disagreements about humanity and deeply coded ethereal programming. they trust each other despite everything telling them they shouldn’t, through bad moods and insults and breakups. even when it could lead to danger or destruction or death.

Aziraphale caught the bullet in the story of Job (he ate food offered by the snake in eden, trusting him even then, so early, somehow, to not drag him to hell), he caught it again in the 60s (he gives Crowley holy water despite everything telling him not to, he trusts him not to take the suicide pill), he catches it again and again (he trusts Crowley and raises the Antichrist. he trusts Crowley and stops armageddon. he trusts Crowley and swaps bodies and steps down into hell. he trusts Crowley. he trusts Crowley to save him every time). I could always rely on you, you could always rely on me.

so he takes the offer from Metatron, he trusts that Crowley will catch the bullet this time (trust me, trust me, trust me. i know what i’m doing here, let me save you for once). and sure enough the bullet hits the wall behind Crowley’s head but there’s no bullet in his mouth. nothing about it hits. they finally see that they’ve both been aiming at the wrong thing this whole time.

and just when you think it’s over and the magic trick is finished, Crowley levels the gun right back (these are their normal positions. something about it feels right. Aziraphale is very good at looking down the barrel of that gun because he trusts Crowley so very much), except this time the bullet doesn’t graze past his ear.

aziraphale and crowley both think they're exempt from rules and can bend them at their will but they still didn't turn a fucking cardboard box upside down basically just because a sticker said "⬆️this way up⬆️"

i like to think that Crowley fucking crushed his occult backbone after the Fall. Like he was too busy watching at the stars and galaxies while burning and falling from Mum's God's grace and then SBAM! Worst landing of all entire legion of the damned.

That's why now he walks like there's no bone supporting his corporeal vessel. He has the worst and longest back pain in History. Also this explain why he sits down like a cat and gets up like he does.
