It's crazy how for so long my parents were against me dancing. To the point that they wouldn't even let me leave the house. Now that I'm teaching classes my mom is being supportive.

If I had stopped and listened to them when they said I should stop I wouldn’t be here teaching classes today.

To all my followers with strict African Parents continue to live your dreams! I tbh don’t even tell my parents all the creative stuff I do I can’t deal with the stress. Because one day the tears, the sleepless nights, the regrets and the discouragement will be worth it.

Believe in you! Believe in your gift! Believe in your talents and never give up 🙏🏿♥️♥️

This is me with my music lessons! My dad tried to make me stop getting piano lessons for the longest time but 3 years into teaching piano/my music degree he’s finally willing to accept it might be a legitimate career.

Shout out to black people learning a creative art even tho their parents don’t believe in it!
