both very funny and awfully frustrating that people will be like “just because this character is aromantic doesn’t mean they can’t be romance-favourable / in a romantic relationship 🥺” and then the character in question is canonically like “i hate romance so much it’s unreal”
It might just be me but I feel like the tsundere archetype might have to do with it.
People are so used to characters going “no mph I'm not into _inser things” when they secretly are than now they assume the same with every character.
I just can't prove it
unfortunately my story needs a middle. i personally think this is excessive
TADC SPOILER FREE POST, SPOILERS WILL BE DELETED
I've been working on outlining a fanfic ( won't post it until last episode is out because there are spoilers IN the fanfic ) and I've been thinking of the relationship between the cast and each of their family here's what I got: Ragatha: recently blocked her mom in the fanfic and is grappling with that, low contact with her siblings Jax: no connection with his parents whatsoever but I like to think he consider some of his friend's family as his ( found family is a topic that'll be explored thoroughly in the fanfic ), however one of his parent try to contact him every now and then and it's hard and awkward Zooble: similar to Jax but was jumped around in the foster care system the entirety of their teenage years, might be in contact with one of the nice foster family that was nice to her but he has a hard time keeping contact and connection with people Gangle: it's a bit awkward, her family didn't want her to get into arts because they wanted her to have the best future plausible but they're proud of where she is now, a lot of unsaid things Kinger: family man through and through, sadly lost both of his parents though Pomni: it's fine, they still treat her like a child which she mildly tolerate, for some reason I see her being from a family with a lot of vet
Hey TADC fandom,
Isn't she lovely?
This pride month, as an amateur writer, the reflection I'm having is why can't I represent my own orientation ( aroace ) in my writings? Counting on my fingers I have two aroace characters, one aro, and a few demi/gray but still overall interested in romance. I myself am in a qpr so I think it's pretty normal that's what my aromantic character end up in one, but still. Why can I represent so many character with different romantic orientations but somehow when it comes to mine I fall short? Why is romance such a huge focus of mine when there are so many others interesting relationship? What would be an aroace character I'd actually like to explore, how would they be like?
So I have those ocs, right, who are siblings ( from oldest to youngest: Dorea, Theo, Aestra ). I was just thinking about them and about how despise all the struggles they have in their relationship the two oldest really shows up for the youngest, Aestra. She's trans and despise all the money struggles they have they provide for her and it's their top priority to get her all the clothing she wants, to pay for her hormones blocker, a-to get her appointment so she can have the braids she wants. No matter what they make sure she can have the experience of being a teenage girls. It's so precious to me, and maybe not the most "realistic thing" but I hope one day when I'll be able to seat down and write about them that it'll make someone happy, that it'll comfort them.
Watching what I've heard is peak
me staring at the ship I wrote myself man they're so good for each other... *sighs* I wish they could be not doomed they're so interesting and adorable... keeps on writing what will eventually lead to their doom
Finding out Hans Zimmer is a transphobe genuinely had me falling to my knees
i don’t understand how neil gaiman intellectual properties still trend on here so regularly he literally trafficked women. like it’s not even a discourse thing or a “he’s problematic” thing he was “cancelled” for human trafficking. he repeatedly isolated women, usually his or his ex-wife’s fans, with no support system for the purpose of raping them while they were dependent on him for income and housing. that’s human trafficking

Can someone who's like better at understanding music/musical can explain to me what's the difference between the live recording and the studio recording of the six that makes me enjoy the live record but despise the studio one?
I don't know if it's just me but as a transmasc ( closeted and non passing due to many factors ) I really relate with the song "Just a girl" by No doubts which is in no way intended as a transmasc song but I really relate to the message of it.
Honestly, I totally agree. Maybe not my vibe as a song in general but I'm sure the message is super relatable among other transmascs as well, closeted especially.
Upon looking up lyrics I found these ones stand out nicely in a way that makes them super relatable to the common transmasc experiences
"I'm just a girl in the world - That's all that you'll let me be - Oh, I'm just a girl, living in captivity" really reminds me of society pressuring you back into being a girl like a captive in your own skin and your own home.
"Cause I'm just a girl, I'd rather not be" hmmm rather be what I wonder hmm /silly
I'm not sure if there's a term I'd label this post but yeah definitely , pretty relatable I'd say. I'm sure others would agree :)
Tws; pedophilia mention, kink mentions, overall serious post about the wrongs of supporting certain fictions- technically mention of proshippers.
Heads up if you support the active consumption of fiction that includes children in sexual positions- and I mean for "enjoyment" of the consumer- I do not consider you safe around children. As my friend put it;
"Multiple pedophiles that have proceeded to offend started out by looking at ‘ethical csam’"
It encourages the normalization. Using fiction to soften it and normalize it is what leads to people thinking it's fine to hurt children like that.
Kinks are between pure fiction or consenting adults. Even things like CNC are still consensual. That gross kink is still consensual. That fictional piece including a mythical god doesn't include a real group that could NEVER consent (while in that group).
These pieces also actively hurt victims. Hell, they probably even NORMALIZE this for some victims while in bad positions.
You can't be a pedo activist- because if someone struggling with pedophilia is taking the right steps, they don't have their rights taken away. (Ignoring any other lacks of rights for other things, in this case specifically)
And to anyone that's ever struggled with such thoughts, I'm glad that you've recovered or you're recovering. You're doing great and setbacks happen, this post is about people who actively think it's okay and don't even seek to take the steps necessary to heal or be a safe person.
The same goes for zoophilia.
Re-blogging this to make sure people knows which grounds I stand. Media exploring child abuse is okay. Media showing you on screen uncensored unfiltered csa is not. Even if your intention is just exploring you are creating csam you are participating in the sexualisation of children. You are making yourself a safe space for people who wants to consume that media. You might help someone escalating into actual violence on real children ( whether it's by looking at pictures or abusing children).
So anyone just finished tadc new episodes because what on earth was that.
Michaela being a woman actually elevates the show for me. I could not bear losing the perfect husband John we have spent the last two seasons with, and then having to settle with yet another emotionally stunted male rake. Michaela though? That's interesting! It's something we haven't seen before! Composed Francesca losing her mind over this woman and having her entire world view crushed on top of the grief they are both experiencing? The guilt of being together in Johns shadow on top of internalized comphet guilt? Oooh, I am seated.
Exactlyyyy plus it means we're not getting the whole "Michael trying to baby trap Francesca arc" which is a win in my book. And ( in the best of the world ) how Francesca's worth isn't tyed to her being able to provide baby or not. And how guiltyyyy Michaela could be of potentially depriving Francesca of motherhood by stopping her from marrying again.
