My special interest is neuropsychology (especially Autism and ADHD)
My hyperfixations are anime and sometimes kpop.
For anime, I mostly hype Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer), Wind Breaker and Blue Lock. Sometimes, I might hype other animes that I recently like🤷🏻♀️
My oshis are Rengoku Kyojuro, Suo Hayato, and Itoshi Rin (honestly i don't really have favs in Blue Lock, everyone is cool af but my main are Itoshi brothers, Bachira, and Isagi)
Sometimes I reblog NSFW contents (I read smut fanfic)
I support self-identified autistic/adhd people (with proper research). Because getting a diagnosis is NOT EASY, especially if you're an adult, woman/afab, poor, living in a fucking 3rd world country where a healthcare for neurodivergent people sucks (Yes I'm talking about my own current conditions lol, fuck the government)
I'm kinda emo and sometimes i might vent a lot😔✌🏻

imagine how funny it would be if, after the suo arc, it's revealed that he probably has the biggest appetite, save for a select few.
not just because it'd be cute to watch him act like the 15 y/o he actually is and stuff his mouth full of good food (though that is a major motivator of this hc lolllll) but mostly it'd represent his desperation for human connection.
he's lived so long dodging connection and friendships like he'd actually explode if he even touched the idea of forming a genuine bond with the kids at bofurin and i fr don't think that healthy.
you also cannot look at suo hayato and look me in the eye and tell me he doesn't want human connections too.
so. food = connection in wbk, right? it's oversimplified, but that's the general gist? so what do you get when a child who's been deprived of human warmth and genuine connection finally allows themself to let down their walls and try to reach out to others?
well, you get sakura.
and what does sakura have? a giant appetite, especially after a fight.
okokok thoughts. i am on the bus so forgive any disjointedness/fuckups but
1. i am so so curious abt how this fight will play out cos realistically suo washes nirei like laundry then takes him 2 the dry cleaners 2 get extra folded HOWEVER. does he have the heart to do this fr ? signs are pointing to probably yes (esp if theres a larger threat hes attempting to protect furin from the way im thinking where getting beat to shit by your maybe-friend is still a better option than idk getting all ur fingers and both legs systematically broken or something) but theres still the possibility that he cant follow thru. which would lowkey be the funniest shit ever. bro did all this just to walk it back in the final hour like heehee...sowwy....that was my oopsie #myoopsie 😋 but alternatively. if he DOES have the heart 4 this. sakura finding out suo reappeared just to fuck nirei up and go ghost again danny phantom style will be like dropping 12 cat 5 hurricanes onto that poor town back2back and i for one am ready 2 see all this shit obliterated. while we're at it bring endo and chika back too fuck it lets REALLY air this bitch out
2. "signs are pointing to yes" VERY VERY INTERESTING how suo switches the way he handles nirei throughout this whole interaction. from gentle at the beginning (lightly placing his hand atop nireis to stop him from alerting the others, "i just wanted to see you one last time to say goodbye") to dismissive + somewhat insensitive when nirei isn't accepting this at his pace ("sorry. sorry about that too. you'll be fine") to outright cruelty almost as soon as nirei proves he will make himself an obstacle ("we arent anything" "[you have] always pissed me off"). like maybe this is just the mask finally coming off but idk it reeks it REEEKS of manipulation 2 me. conversational sleight of hand if u will. get mr analytical so fucking pissed he forgets to analyze. which ! mission accomplished if that was the goal nirei fully swung at him like he put his whole back in that shit
3. i think suos frustration with nireis curious personality was pulled directly out his ass and shot into the conversation as a distraction from the actual issue aka WHY hes quitting school + leaving in the 1st place. BUT. if it is based somewhat in truth i think itd be real interesting if suos own curiosity is the thing that got him into whatever mess hes dealing with and thats why it pisses him off so much that nirei has the freedom/innocence/protection to stay curious and pursue the answers he wants to know. a fun little cockfail of jealousy bitterness and a touch of that weird superiority u can get by going thru tough things as a kid and thinking how u cope is The Way Of It All rather than just. how u in particular cope
reblog to give suo your depression, your chronic pain, your anxiety, your headache, your cramps, your cold, your stomachache, your nausea, your allergies, etc.
Anyone else picking up on how verbally, Suo answers are very very cold, short, and impersonal, but once Nirei challenges him to a fight (that we all know as a conversation), Suo accepts it. This is their form of an “argument”, and in his own twisted way, Suo IS opening up to Nirei. And get this: It’s immature and childish, the antithesis of what Suo preaches all the time. Omg nirei get his ass
What if Suo is a traitor… just not in the way some of us think?
Like, instead of him betraying furin, he’s actually someone who betrayed his own past. Maybe he did came from some yakuza-type family, but hated that life and ran away. And the “sensei” could be the one who helped him escape and basically gave him a new way to live.
So “Suo Hayato” might not even be his real name, same as his fake address, just something he uses to stay hidden.
full credit to making this connection goes to this one twt user
idk if someone has made this connection before but i was bothered by what the graffiti behind suo+nirei meant and this twt acc got the reference
heres the thread to the connection made by op about suo and nirei being two figures from japanese mythology, raijin and fujin. pls read it, its genius
i was making the mistake of looking into buddhist deities cuz thats what the four heavenly kings, ume's supporters were based on, that it didn't even cross my mind to look at shinto deities which is lowkey stupid of me in hindsight cuz the japanese dont actually separate their buddhist n shinto deities that much in mythology (i think) cuz frankly their origins are a bit unclear but most importantly raijins and fujins myth of creation is in shintoism so i think they'e shinto deities. THE FACT THAT I KNEW RAIJIN HAS THOSE WEIRD SPOKES, WHEELS THING TOO CUZ THUNDURUS IS A POKEMON WHICH HAS THAT DESIGN AND SO I KNEW THAT IT WAS BASED ON RAIJIN AND UGHH IM SO JEALOUS I DIDN'T REMEMBER AND MAKE THE CONNECTION MYSELF LMAO
to build on what op brings attention to (kinda spoilery for ch 209)
so raijin, the god of thunder, and fujin, the god of wind, are two oni twins who escaped from the shinto underworld, who are revered as two weather gods.
and what's the one other weather related motif that we see over and over in wind breaker ? well it's in the name itself, the beloved motif of makochi, the wind chime, fuurin.
the wind chime is not only hung in houses to act as decoration but also because in past traditions, the chime caused by the wind was seen as something that kept evil spirits away. this symbol of protection is something obviously reminiscent of the motto of bofuurin.
coming back to the two weather deities, raijin and fuujin:
so they're both gods that are seen as protectors, but they're also oni that are kinda willful and may get mad at the humans they rule over, in true god-oni fashion. there are still distinctions between them in their behaviour, from what ive been able to gather.
raijin being the god of thunder, lightning and storms is seen as the more chaotic god, a being that is mischievous. he's seen as a figure that is a protector with a fierce temper.
this is quite in line with what we've seen from suo, as he's someone who is shown of being capable of reacting with cruel anger in the face of injustice, and has a personality that likes inducing chaos and watching it unfold, albeit in a non malicious way.
fuujin, the wind god is a deity that is the reason that the winds blow from the sky. while he causes typhoons, he's also the reason that gentle breezes also exist.
while he is also a 'demon' he's seen to be less intense than raijin, and keeping in mind that he's associated with nirei, someone who's had a consistently positive influence on the people around him, i think nirei's role as fujin and suo's role as raijin can be interpreted as having differing roles regarding a furin.
so when we look at a wind chime, out of wind and thunder, wind is something that is positive and helpful to a fuurin, while thunder indicating a storm, is destructive to it
we have already seen sakura being compared to a wind chime itself, that too broken, unable to make a sound.
so yeah it does kinda make me think that all this is pointing towards a one on one fight between sakura and suo and suo might win ? and keeping in mind the tradition that it was the chime of the wind bell that kept evil spirits away, maybe that defeat would invite more troublesome things, like the crisis that is looming associated with a storm in this panel, smth that op also pointed out
or maybe this is purely a thematic, so suo could be seen as a source of storm or turmoil for sakura. because we know that for all that sakura has grown, his weakness is that his mental state is admittedly easy to disturb, fragile like the glass bell of a wind chime, so maybe something breaks.
i think that 'evil spirit' which is no longer kept at bay, could be interpreted as his negative emotions resurging again (which is already kinda happening)
but yeah with things that appear as pairs in chinese n japanese mythology, they often have that yin yang philosophy to them where it's like two differing forces have to coexist for balance. we kinda see the same thing with the tiger and dragon graffiti being symbolic to sakura and sugishita respectively.
the graffiti in the classroom is obv smth that says something about these four characters— sakura, sugishita, nirei and suo. ive always felt that the four of them are going to be important to bofuurin kinda, they're the ones who have been constantly changing since the beginning of the manga (except suo but he's heavily involved in their changes) in class 1 - 1
plotwise, i think these four characters are kinda interwoven— their growth is stimulated by their influence on each other.
like sugishita's whole shift in perspective about sakura has been facilitated by suo and nirei. nirei takes the first step to becoming stronger with suo's help because of his desire to become someone dependable to sakura. suo, nirei, and sugishita were present during moments when sakura was at his lowest, like ch 60 w the whole tightrope thing n the endo fight.
hell the fact that the first conflict brings attention to these four first years, also with ume saying this about them ?
SO BASICALLY i do think suo will be back as vice captain w nirei, and no one's gonna replace his role in the story, and we'll be seeing more these four characters becoming a proper team yayy yipee
While many people love to ship Suo-Nirei as a couple, especially from this scene last night, i love seeing them as a siblings. Idk...i feel like Suo is like a great older brother who genuinely loves to takes care of his little brother, Nirei, and being very protective of him. It's so cute and touching to think about from this perspective.
I respect everyone's perspectives, as a yuri shipper, I'd also ship them if they were a girls😆
However, i hope I'm not the only one who ship them as a siblings aren't i?🫢
For me, I genuinely cannot see them in a romantic relationship no matter what gender or sex they are. Like I just can't see it personally. No hate to the people who actually ship them (pls don't shoot me💔)
I get that! For me it's for Suo-Sakura, i think they're purely platonic friendship (not even sibling coded). I just can't see them as a couple either.
And...i don't think this opinion should be hated since everyone can have different perspectives. Nii sensei made it for an open perspectives! We're free to interpret it in our own way
