Its really really easy to get greedy and sloppy. Just remeber to never get greedy. Your hauls will be bigger so you have to think smarter. Dont let the money go to your head and cloud your judgement. Make sure you’re a lifting pro before you start boosting. And you have back up plans, know all exits, know to take a disguise with you. Keep your tools in your bra, binder, or tapped to your leg.

i've been inactive so idk if many people will see this but a good tip i saw was if you have multiple of an item, instead of adding new listings for it just keep the one post up. as far as anyone knows the item just hasn't sold yet.

i don’t think anyone’s done a video like this before but!! this is a good method!! basically you take a jacket that either already had a layer inside or you put a hoodie inside of a jacket and rubber-band an arm on the inside layer shut and then use that arm to conceal!! I CONCEALED VERY OBVIOUSLY IN THIS TO DEMONSTRATE HOW YOUD DO IT!! the more things you put in the more full it could look/more noise it will make so move carefully!! if you want to conceal something larger (a soda can, etc.) put it in first so it slides in noiselessly. i got the idea from someone but i forgot who, i’ll tag them though!!

So today was the 3rd time I beeped in my entire time I’ve been lifting (4 years). I was so SHOOK when I beeped omw out of B&N! (I just kept walking and was ok lol) I lifted a couple of things, in them was a small journal. It was $18.95 and i swear I had checked it for sensors well, but when I got home I double checked that shit and the censor was IN the fucking back! Like you can’t take it out like with books. I’m in a slump

I don’t know what it is, but I have been having a difficult time lifting lately. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not for moral reasons. It’s for anxiety reasons. Whenever I go into stores I feel like people are watching me. I feel like the SA’s are being too nice, or they’re being too attentive. I feel like people are following me, or that the camera is pointed on me and only me and LP is just waiting to catch me. I’m legit so horrified I haven’t been able to lift at stores that have no tags, no on duty/active LP and no cameras.

I don’t know what’s gotten into me. I want to lift so bad but I can’t even bring myself to take a chapstick without getting paranoid.

as a current employee in retail, I can confidently tell you that we barely notice people unless they're acting VERY suspicious (i.e coming in being loud and obnoxious). usually I'm too focused on my job to notice behavior that isn't suspicious. if you just walk in normally, maybe greet the employee back if you're greeted, we usually won't pay you any mind. of course if we walk past you or down your aisle stocking or whatnot, we might ask how you are or if youre finding things okay, but that's it. as long as you don't give off signs that you're lifting (like looking at and 'deciding' on one item for too long or fidgeting or looking around) you should be okay. there's always gonna be at least one employee who's a hardass about shoplifters, though they won't always be working. if they are, they're pretty easy to notice and figure out. just don't act suspicious and you're good. other than that, you really aren't paid much attention to.

(I know I saw a post similar to mine about how retailers don't notice shoplifters but I lost it, so if anyone has it, that'd be great)
