The Sims 2 Essentials Setup Tool — v.1

I got tired of hunting down the same "must-have" fixes every time I reinstalled The Sims 2 (to the point where it has kept me from playing), so I made a tool that does it for you! 🥳 You choose the fixes, mods, and tools you want, click through, and it installs them all — with automatic backups and a built-in undo, so nothing is permanent and nothing gets lost.

It works with both the 2025 Legacy Collection (Steam and EA App) and the older Ultimate Collection.

⚠️ One heads-up: I only own Legacy (on Steam) and the Ultimate Collection, so I haven't been able to test the EA App or Epic versions of the Legacy Collection myself. They should work, but if you run into any issues on those, please let me know and I'll push out a fix!

Functional Walking Pad for Cats The Sims 2

I can finally show this cc to everyone now, woohoo~

A cute pink treadmill/walking pad for my cats. Now, besides the spring toy, my girls have a new toy to play with :D.

This machine has two modes: Run and Walk with corresponding animations. The Fun bar will increase when the cats use it. You can manually cancel the action, or the cat will automatically stop when the Fun bar is full. Huge thanks to @jacky93sims for helping me fix this bug and for fixing the BHAV file for me <3~

I hope you all like this CC, and I hope there will be more custom objects for Pets in the future :D

🛒FLIRTYGHOUL'S MINIMART SET - 4T2 🛒

enjoy my lazy previews because i.... am dying... this took two 8 hour sittings probably...

here we have flirtyghoul's mini mart set all converted to ts2. this set is huge, with over like... 100 meshes lmao (i think anyways im just going by the files i counted since each thing has its own mesh. anyways

polycounts - range from the 100s to 3k, there isn't anything over 3k and the avg i'd say is 800 polys (the rounded meshes with multiple objects enters the 4 digits basically). the original polycounts were very high for some so expect some silly low poly bottles xd textures sizes - choose between 512px and 1024px. previews are taken with the larger sizes as the set is so pretty and detailed, but if you want to be on the safe side choose the set with the smaller sizes!

the original set came with some ads/wall hangings so for those i put the small ones onto aikea guinea's wallwriting and then i made a brand new addon that which is rotated clockwise, making room for bigger and longer ads. those meshes are all included too

i also learned how to edit slots so the freezer has 15 slots! u can press M in game to cycle thru each one. the freezer also comes in my palette for object recolours

huge thanks to pforestsims for giving me so much advice and responding to my endless queries.... i appreciate it sm. pforest also put together the ceiling lamp too which i am eternally grateful for!

everything is compressed, a lot of the stuff here has been repo'd as many things share the same textures, but have unique meshes (smth to do with the mapping as there are multiple things on each texture). lord crumps shadow file is required for the freezer and its included

Welcome to another Wee Ones Wednesday!!

Is it still a shoeswap if they're socks? Hmm. I'm weird about shoes on babies, which is how this edit started. @skittlessims BGHoodieZip has shoes, and I wanted socks instead, and no patterned pants. I was gonna use the same socks I converted for my BU version of SP12OverallLong, but then I saw there's a TS4 infant version, so I converted them. The same socks, but I liked the shape better. Then I wound up reconverting the pants too. So really this is Skittles' conversion of the jacket and my conversions of the pants and socks. More than you probably needed to know, right there.

Hereditary Supernaturalism V2

Makes it so sims can automatically inherit supernatural lifestates as they grow up. Werewolfism is inherited upon becoming a child, witchism upon becoming a teen toddler, vampirism/plantsimism/mermaidism/geniism/fairyism/ghostism upon becoming a toddler. If you have my fairy and mermaid overlays when sims are turned into fairies they’ll be given wings and when mermaids turn into children they’ll be given scales.

As noted above I’ve made witchism inherited at the toddler lifestage and added playable ghosts to the list of inheritable lifestates. I also ensured everyone would gain memories of coming into their powers (fairy and mermaid memories available here, genie memories here - if you don’t have the custom memories, don’t fret, the game will just skip that step). Genies by default gain their memories as children, mermaids gain their memory when they get their scales. I’ve also added playable ghosts to this mod, and that manifests in toddlerhood as well.

In the process I reconfigured the whole thing to be BCON-tunable so you can easily decide if a given supernatural type is hereditary at all and if so at what age (toddler, child, or teen) a sim becomes a given supernatural. To do so change the ‘* age’ value to 0/2/3/10 (0 for not hereditary at all, 2 for toddler, 3 for child, 10 for teen). There are also the values ‘mermaid scales age’ and ‘genie memory age’, so you can change when mermaids grow their scales + remember becoming a mermaid and when genies remember becoming genies (or, by setting the values to 0, make them not automatically get scales/memories).

Now, I had to edit an existing global BCON to make this tunable which increases the risk of conflict, but it was worth it IMO to not have 8 versions and increase customizability. Inteen edits a few global BCONs but other than that I can’t think of another mod that might edit the age BCON. If there is one, HCDU will tell you so you can tell me.

UPDATE 4/27/20: Now shouldn’t conflict with Hat’s G-rated edit of CJH’s religion mod.

ETA: Since not everyone is aware of this, witches have a bug in the game such that sims turned into neutral witches (instead of good or bad) don’t actually get an accompanying memory. This is fixed in creaturefixes, and said fix has also been extracted and refixed (the original version had some bugs) here. Alternatively, my “supernatural fan/skeptic memories - witch” and “supernatural is good - witch” mods solve this problem as well. If you want to be sure your sims who become witches always get the become a witch memory, you’ll want to download one of those mods.

UPDATE 8/9/20: Now includes genie overlay (applied at same age as genie memories). Fixed mislabeled BCON value.

UPDATE 12/11/21: Now works properly if the game forces the sim to age up to child/teen, rather than the player using the grow up interaction or a cake to age the sims up.

Crib Animation Teeth Fix

I was browsing through my dash today when I saw a pic of this happening, and realized that I know how to fix it. So here's just that: a quick replacement for the crib crying anims that move those levitating teeth into the mouth, where they belong.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - the file is compressed. Shouldn't conflict with anything.

I tested this fix with a few poor toddlers different faces and the teeth didn't stick out anymore, but let me know if you have any issues!

Update to MakeMeSick - Tester🦠👩‍🔬

Meduza ( @jellymeduza ) contacted me with an excellent idea:

"... may I have a suggestion for further expansion of the 'MakeMeSick' Tester? How about an option to remove immunity tokens? I use BlueyBre's antibodies after sickness and it does a great job of stopping a flu epidemic from spreading through the entire neighborhood. However, it also makes it so that I can't make my Sims sick even with hacked objects, because they have immunity tokens. :/"

Sims can WooHoo in vampire coffin

This mod adds WooHoo with… and Try For Baby with… to the vampire coffin. If there are more than one Sim that your active Sim can have WooHoo with, you can select with which one they want to do it. It doesn’t affect custom coffins.

Sim will first walk to the other Sim and ask them if they want to have WooHoo with them. If your Sim (Sim A) suggest the other Sim (Sim B) trying for baby and the other Sim has dislikes children trait, they will decline. However, if Sim B is married to Sim A or has family aspiration, they have 10% chance of agreeing and if they are both married to Sim A and have family aspiration, they have 20% chance of agreeing. I don’t think that it’s common to give family Sims dislikes children trait, but nothing stops anyone from doing that, so I decided to code that event. If Sim B declines invitation, Sim A will receive memory that Sim B refused WooHoo.

I used hammock WooHoo fireworks effect in this interaction, but if you don’t have BV, it’ll be skipped.

You need to keep both Meduza_AskToWooHoo_social and Meduza_WooHooInCoffin in your downloads for this mod to work. The first one controls asking if the other Sim wants to WooHoo and the other one contains edited coffin resources.

There are two four versions of Meduza_WooHooInCoffin: one regular, one including only @midgethetree’s Coffin Torpor Mod, only @hafiseazale‘s extra deco slots and one including both @midgethetree’s Coffin Torpor Mod and @hafiseazale‘s extra deco slots. You have to choose one.

This mod conflicts with @midgethetree’s Coffin Torpor Mod and @hafiseazale‘s extra deco slots. You have to delete these mods if you want to use mine. If you want functionalities added in these mods, pick a version of my mod that incorporates the mod you’d like to use.

Update 17th of February 2022: added animations - coffin lid will move during WooHoo

Sims ask if the other Sim wants to have WooHoo in walk-in closet

While I was working on WooHoo in coffin mod, I realised that asking action can be used in the walk-in closet WooHoo as well.

It works just like I explained it in description of previous mod. And like in the previous mod, you have to keep in your downloads folder both Meduza_AskToWooHooInWalk-inCloset and Meduza_AskToWooHooInWalk-inCloset_social.

I also added two new functions of group 0x7FE10572. Their instances are: 0x00002100 and 0x00002101.
