A problem I didn't anticipate as I created more and more characters is accidental name overlap.

Like,,, my characters have pretty unique names. A lot of the time I lean into more fantasy-style names rather than your average English name.

And yet...

Yesterday I realized two of my characters (one of which I made years ago, the other one about a year back) had names that sound identical when you say them out loud.

Asyn and Aeson.

Today I'm brainstorming a visual novel (ive been wanting to make a VN with dating Sim elements for a long time and im finally committing) and I decide to name a character Aeli.

Only after I decided that the name was The One did I realize I have an Aylie.

How do I keep doing this

I think I’m going to push back my 3D modeling commissioning and such until 2027. I can do decent modeling by now (side note I should share the stuff I make for class and such) but I just don’t think I have enough practice to feel confident opening commissions or making things for others. Plus, I feel like a lot of the stuff people would want is character modeling… and although I’ve been making a character model in my free time to practice for my class in the fall,,,, I’m not that good at it lmao. I will be much better and more confident at character modeling (and know how to rig!) by the end of the fall semester. Aka basically 2027.
