I finally finished the background for the gas station the player works at, it took really long because of all the details lmao. Now I just have to color it.. wich will probably take forever.. shuddersā¦
Maybe Iāll just leave it uncolored for now and begin with the basement and apartment instead? I might also rework Tobyās sprites since theyāre a bit old but Iām not so sure.
Iām still deciding whether I should keep the red border, itās still a sketch just like the textbox. The border is going to be a bunch of red bloody worms when I finish it, or maybe Iāll just draw intestines? Iām not good at gore lol but I love the meaty aesthetic. What do you guys think??
(Also Slenderman isnāt an actual character thatās gonna show up like in the first drawing, itās more so gonna be in backgrounds, I wonāt show it directly in game since that would make it less spooky I think)
Also I made a design for my gas station happenings version of Slenderman. Unlike most Slenderman depictions it never speaks, because it doesnāt have a voice of its own, it communicates through the mind via hallucinations of loved ones and copying their voices, speaking through them to manipulate its victims. It doesnāt physically attack people, psychologically warfare is more its go to.
But if I had to come up with a physical fighting style Iād say it attacks via tentacles that sprout out of the ground from its stem, sort of like their roots. Impaling/choking/trapping you in an instant. It doesnāt have any emotions, itās more so a hollow vessel whoās goal is only to feed off of people, sometimes animals (but those give little satisfaction, children are its primary source but it goes for any kind of humans)
It also doesnāt have an official name, since no one knows what exactly it is, where it comes from or how old it is. Some refer to it by āSlendermanā, some by āthe operatorā (like Masky, Toby and Hoodie).. the list goes on. I can info dump more about it if anyone has any more questions, just ask and Iāll answer :)
