You are not less important as an neurodivergent regressor

It's okay if you can't control when you age regress

It's okay to be overwhelmed sometimes

It's okay if you do "weird" stims while age regressing

It's okay if you don't like the texture of your clothes or your blanky

It's okay if you can't figure out how to talk, be as quiet as you want

It's okay to age regress if you are feeling overstimulated by loudness or bright lights

It's okay to be an involuntary regressor.

As an involuntary age regressor with diagnosed ADHD, I feel as if this isn't spoken about enough. People tend to talk about age regression itself and not what the difference is between voluntary and involuntary. I want to be able to be seen as someone who can not control when I age regress.

What is the difference between the two?

voluntary and involuntary is basically if you can have control or not.

Involuntary:

You have less control

It can be triggered (being stressed, overwhelmed, trauma)

Difficult to stop regressing once you fall into it

Feels as if it is a reaction rather than a choice

In need of comfort

You look for safety

Voluntary:

You can control when it happens

It's a choice

You use it for fun, relaxation, or even self-care

Ability to step out of regression when needed or wanted

Usually isn't triggered

🐇 Bunny/rabbit regressor ideas! 🐇

°.• spend time outside! Lay on a blanket and look through the grass for bugs! The longer you wait, the more you'll see 🐞

°.• make a snack tray of veggies and fruit! Strawberries, celery, carrots, and cucumbers are all healthy examples of bunny snacks!🥕

°.• naptime! Bunnies take lots of naps to keep their energy up. Little bunnies get grumpy if they don't get their naps! 💤

°.• clean your room! I know that sounds boring, but it's gotta be done! Bunnies always make sure their nests are clear of dirt and other messes 🧹

🔮 hōu'da [ he / any // any terms] would see his little as his entire world. he will do everything in his power to make sure there is NEVER a moment his little doesn't special or loved

🔮 he gives papa/mama energy, but he doesnt mind what his little calls him. you can call him whatever you want, he feels blessed to even have you adress him with a title you chose for him. he will likely have something to match for you, but will have plenty of nicknames for you. some examples being starlight, dreamer, and cricket -- bonus lil' at the beginning

🔮 having all the money in the world with, he would spoil you ROTTON. every time you mention you want something, he will always give it to you. clothes, toys, you name it! its all yours! you will never be left neglected

🔮 despite having a demanding occupation, he will always make time for you, especially at bedtime. he is the big boss and he will schedule his time where you are the highlight of his day

🔮 he is VERY protective of you ! you will never allow harm or disrespect on you by anything, even himsf

🔮 he has psychic powers, mostly mind related stuff, as he also needs it to speak telepathically because he has no mouth. if you were to get overstimulated, he would temporarily hush hush your mind, restricting the bad stuff to trigger you more so you can take a quick nap to decompress

🔮 he always wears a big, fluffy coat! so any cuddles, hugs, and time he's carrying you will me cozy and soft! his height [ 6 foot 10 inches ] makes it like hugging a bear ! :

🌟 he help you learn to set your personal boundaries, like touch, with him and others. even then, no matter what it is, even if it seems silly, always come to him about things that make you feel uncomfortable

🔮 he has a much larger, true form, one that is an anthropomorphic canine-owl mix. you never see him in this form of him often, not wanting to scare you. if you aren't afraid, even like it, then you might it more often -- which means fuzzy hugs and cuddles all the time!!

🔮 despite not having a mouth, he makes you the best snacks and food, remembering your favorites and just the way you like it. certain aromas [smells] will remind him of you hehee

🔮 bedtime is the best time, so hes a big win for sleepy regressors. you will have the comfiest bed in the world, pillows and blankets galore, an army of plushies at your disposal if thats your thing. bioluminescent plants will be your nightlights and accompany star stickers on your ceiling which hold your favorite constellations. movie? bedtime story? music, anything that will help you sleep he'd gladly set it up for you

🌟 alike the boundaries, if you need him to stay when you sleep, he will, either be it laying with you, cuddled up to him, or just sitting at the edge of the bed until you are in dream land, he will fullfil those wishes

🔮 he may spoil you, but will also help you learn to independent for the future, but he will still let you live our you glory days as you're still small. he will prepare you for the big world with everything you need as you grow -- and he will alwsys be there when you need him
