        ❝  i ━━  ❞    the word escaped her as she put a stool upon a table top, her face a deep crimson as her heart raced heavily within her chest. a spell of dizziness overwhelmed her for a moment, as she barely looked in his direction hoping he would not see how much his question had affected her.

          it had been foolish of her to think that he had forgotten all about the kiss. foolish to think that he had gotten distracted from the arrival of hunters in the town ━━ hunters that seemed to be far to interested in his bar and both herself and his sister. but here he stood, now alone with her as she helped to clean up this place, questioning why she had kissed him when he had found her after she had escaped a trap laid out for her.

          in truth, she did not know why she had allowed herself to loose control like she had, but her actions had haunted her since then. for two days now, she had barely slept nor had a moment where the kiss had not affected her, for there were times where her mind wondered and her fingers traced where their lips had met. yet, despite her this, she had been punishing herself for loosing control, especially since it risked a friendship that she held dear.
