To anyone anxious about KOSA passing there's a lot of good points in this reddit comment thread that factors in all the ways the bill is not going to get far before midterms.

The deal mentioned is just to get the houses version of the bill on the house floor after which it still needs to go through senate. This version supposedly only affects adult sites (which still is bad but not as bad as every social being affected) the problem with it is that there's no duty of care and it's not Blackburn's version of the bill which will lead Blackburn and other Senate members to vote against it and Cruz is anti censorship so you know he's against it, and so on.
