The first workout of the 2015 Crossfit Open is announced tonight at 8pm!! If you’re nervous don’t worry I’m nervous too. We can all be nervous together. This is a growing and learning experience so just get ready to have some fun with it. Here’s a few bits of advice to make this Open season a great one.
The workout is announced every Thursday at 8pm. After the announcement there is a standards video that explains what is and is not acceptable movement standard. Watch it. Then watch it again. Watch it a third time. Be familiar with the standards. I also explain the standards again before you do your workout. I will also be giving you tips on how to perform better.
Wods are to be done on Fridays at 8pm (except this week) or at Open Gym on Sundays from 10-1130 unless otherwise discussed with me. Please respect the times because the coaches are volunteering their time to help judge you guys.
Scores are to be submitted by Sunday night so I can validate them in a timely manner. Having you guys submit by Sunday also gives me time to track you down if you forget to submit your score by the deadline which is really Monday.
This is meant to be fun. A throwdown against the people we wod amongst. There is a scaled option this year so if something comes up that you can’t do we can scale appropriately. So let’s push limits and test your fitness and above everything else let’s have some fun. Any questions feel free to ask. Good luck everyone!!
