Thank you! I love writing about the Thieves Guild! There’s so much opportunity to delve into ancient cons and modern schemes. And Marvel has really underutilized it (or made a joke of it), when it could be an amazingly badass (or morally gray per a code of ethics) plot maker. But if they want to leave it on the table, I’ll take it! 😉

Here's the drawing I did for the Rogue and Gambit Zine! (@rogue-gambit-fan-zine) I'm so proud to have been apart of the project and I had an absolute blast working with such a fun group of people. :] Honestly such a highlight of 2023/2024! Special thanks to @awarriorqueen who wrote a super sweet short story that takes place after the "Nightcrawler" episode. We had the best of times working in tandem on the story and art. What do you think about how much Remy is sexualized? He's probably the most sexualized character...

People don’t read superhero comics for realistic looking characters, on the contrary, these characters are extraordinary, including physically. Gambit is supposed to be very handsome, the hottest of them, and that’s fine, actually it's great. I love how devilish charming Gambit is.

To me, it only became a problem somewhat recently when Gambit began to be reduced to Rogue’s hot boyfriend by Rogue fans who also believe they’re Gambit fans because they’re Romy fans, when in reality all most of them do is fantasize about this perfect boyfriend/husband.

Or Rogue fans who are Gambit haters and wanted to see the character fail because they enjoyed the fantasy of her perfect untouchable virtue and self-inserting so they could be “the magic touch.”

In honor of Gail Simone's birthday, it has been decided to honor her in the Church of Gambit* by sainting her for her contributions to the Gambit/Romy nation. She has earned this by spreading the good word of Gambit, through her actions by writing him with the intention of swaying the haters to love him, and feeding us good in the sexy Rogue/Gambit department. (mostly for that last part, we do love being fed in that department)
