Xavon doesn't understand. Why has love practically rewired everything in his brain and thought process that whenever he sees Wels do something as simple as pushing a bang out of Ă©âs face, his brain just shortcircuits? What is it with love that Wels can always elicit a reaction from them with every little twitch or breath? Is it stupidity? Sheer devotion? Ignorance? Xavon did not have an answer as to what love is and why Wels has changed their entire perception of life and its intricacies.
Unbeknownst to Xavon, Wels was looking at him, confusion and concern colouring her oh so perfect face. Their face sprinkled with freckles that looked like stars, features delicately sharp, and hair as soft as cotton but as sandy as the grains of rock eroded over time in the ocean framing it wonderfully.
Xavon met Welsâ eyes, blue and red gazing at each other.
"Are you okay, Abby? Youâve been zoning out for a while nowâŠâ Wels said to him, gentle in tone but tinged with worry. âYou havenât even said a word in these past 10 minutes. Iâm starting to think that youâre going deaf, heheâŠâ
Wels shifted awkwardly at the poor attempt to joke. Xavon honestly found it endearing.
Smiling a little more than he unknowingly already did, Xavon stood up to walk towards the seat that Wels had occupied from across the room. Catching on, the elf made space for him to sit beside clair on the loveseat.
âHow very kind of you to ask, Welsie,â he sighed as he sat down on the chair. âBut yes I am quite well. Thereâs just⊠a little something on your face.â
Wels looked at them, even more confused than earlier.
Xavon pecked a small kiss on Welsâ cheek, just right beside her awfully soft lips.
âRight there.â Xavon watched in glee as Wels spluttered and blushed profusely at the action.
He might not know why love is the way it is, but it wonât stop him from enjoying the feeling of loving Wels despite any fight or argument they might have had in the past. Because they loved Wels.
