A comment fest is an event in which we, together as a fandom, comment on fanfictions. It can be an open comment fest (you can comment on any fic) or a closed one (you comment on fics submitted for the event).
More info below ⬇️
Last year, with the rise of AI fics, we mods decided to comment on every fic submitted during orufreyweek2025 as orufreyweek. And we did it, because there’s no better feeling than know there’s a human reading what you’ve written.
It wasn’t enough! We wanted, and we still want, to let you know it wasn’t only us reading their fics, but our little fandom too! So we invited whoever wanted to comment with us the orufreyweek2025’s fics!
This is the bingo card we came up with! And you can read the bookmarks we created on our ao3 profile. This were all the English fics published during last year event! You can find all our comments also in the tag “Orufreyweek’s comment fest 2025”!
This year too, Orufreyweek’s Comment Fest will be a CLOSED FEST.
Only the fics published during and for #orufreyweek2026 will be commented by us and by whoever wants to participate commenting.
Any language will be accepted!
If you have any questions about the comment fest, please write us here and we’ll answer you as soon as possible!
writers really will spend twenty minutes pacing around the kitchen thinking “this scene is genius” and then sit down to type and suddenly remember approximately three words and one emotional vibe
english speakers will never know how a writer can be excited to receive 3 kudos on a single fanfiction. I've received 100 kudos on my new ao3 account, yeah, 100 kudos in 4 years and I'm going to celebrate them with a mug of hot chocolate flavored with cinnamon
btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
No, you see, I wish to be an author. Not in marketing. Or an influencer. I wish to tell my stories, be told I did a fantastic job, and then go back to my hovel to scribble some more. I am delicate of constitution and awkward in crowds.
WARNING do NOT start reading books and comics or watching movies or looking at art!!! you will start wanting to create art yourself. or god forbid. writing.
Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly. Only if you do that can you hope to make the reader feel every particle of what you, the writer, have known and feel compelled to share.
