Some lore: (I actually have lore for her, shocking)

She lives with her godfather and his wife (whom she calls her aunt and uncle). She had complications as a newborn which got her interested in NICU work. Her birth in general caused her mother a few post partum issues. When she was around twelve her father unfortunately passed, her mother was extremely distraught. Her godfather (a good friend of her parents) moved in with his wife to try and help. Eventually her mother had to be admitted into a mental hospital due to poor mental health. Adeline still visits her mother and they have a kind of decent relationship. She has lived with her aunt and uncle ever since.
