[ 🙌 ] - How does your muse stim or self-regulate?
aziraphale fidgets constantly with his hands to stim and self-regulate: twisting them one over the other, rubbing them together, turning his pinky ring, picking at his nails, tapping his fingers together. even when they're clasped together, he's self-soothing by rubbing his thumbs together or tapping the backs or palms of his hands. if he's holding something, he's tapping it, turning it, doing a swirling motion with it, twiddling it, etc. when excited, he'll do jazz hands, shake his fists, or clap rapidly.
he fidgets with his clothes pretty regularly: tugging his collar, straightening his bowtie, adjusting his waistcoat, pulling at loose threads on his argyle sweater vests, rubbing the sleeves of a cardigan or sweater. he also touches his face a lot: puts his chin in his hands, taps his cheek, tugs on his ear, taps his mouth, tweaks his nose.
he's also constantly got things in the pockets of his jacket and waistcoat to fiddle with: usually business cards, bookmark tassels, matchboxes from the various hole-in-the-walls he goes to with crowley, beads from various embroidery projects.
when under extreme stress, he tends to squeeze his hands together very tightly (because when he's stressed, they're usually clasped anyway). he'll also pat his thighs or hide his hands in the sleeves of his jacket/sweater; he's got very specific textures that he likes and doesn't like, and all of his clothes have textures that are soothing to him.
he also self-regulates through various processes: he loves a nice, simple, orderly process with a strict to-do list attached. making tea, embroidery, and annotating various historically inaccurate religious texts are some of his go-to self-soothing tasks.
