Everything has an expiration date.
From the milk in your fridge to the beef in your freezer.
Still, they never told us how we can expire, did they?
How the heart keeps a steady off beat rhythm.
How the legs walk away in exchange for wheels.
How the arms keep shivering, even after the whisky.
How the eyes clean colors like dish soap.
How the ears make us hate being quiet.
How the tongue tastes only salt in caramel.
How the nose so resilient, we wish would wither.
How the hands can’t keep in touch with everyone.
How the feet share scars of past endeavors.
How the brain melts away memories of our grandchildren.
And how the friends end and the new ones pretend to make you happy.
Because everything has an expiration date.
And I think I’ve gone sour.
you know, it is not very often that I see a gif and experience this strong a desire to put my hand into it.
My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them. My dreams are attainable and I will reach them.

Honestly seeing old photos in color makes the past so much more tangible.
Edward Robert Hughes (1851-1914)
Tell me who I am?
When I look in the mirror I don’t see me. Well It is me but how can it be me when I can’t see myself? So I try to find myself at 6am. Where the sun would rise right in front of my eyes and I could soak up its pure joy as it tells me who I am.
I walked and I ran right over a bridge and had a one-track mind until I saw a train track. Next to that track, I saw a factory. As I was questioning its purpose a car passes me and turns into that factory.I stepped in closer, and saw people. Well, not just people, but a woman. Well, not just a woman but someone arguing that “this job is the worst job and if I could leave then I would leave if I didn’t have kids to feed.” Showing me a place that looked like nothing could turn into something that turned into something important.
Next to that something was something of the sun. Wait not the sun but a flower. Wait not a flower but beauty that stared me in the face with petals so yellow they were talking to me. I leaned in closer and heard them whisper “take me take me” But the closer I came I realized they weren’t just saying take me but “I dare you.” Covered in thorns, teaching me what I could never learn on my own. That beauty is pain.
And next to that pain, we’re trees. Except they weren’t just trees but a forest. Except it wasn’t a forest but a jungle so unforgiving you could hear it scream. Screams of anger or fear? No. I heard them say “oh sun, pull me in. Take me to the light. Show me what I can’t see on my own ”Screams of worship so compelling that it reminded me who I was.
I was someone who didn’t see worship, but trees. No beauty, but weeds. No moms, but factories. And my own shadow.
It was only then when I realized I had missed the sunrise.
Just Visiting
Keep it together, you will be fine
Though the money runs thin and so does the time
Just keep your balance and stay close to home
Please don’t forget to pick up your phone
It wouldn't kill you just to say hey
Talk of your day so I know you’re ok
And if you want to visit just say when
...I think I hit rock bottom again.
We go forward.
This is too deep to comprehend.
Stop it
I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE FUNNY
:(((((
Falling in love is like being upside down, your feet just naturally fall into the sky.
Try your best
Try your best to wake up and greet the sun with all its warmth and comfort, holding you still when hands are too familiar.
Try your best to feel the rain fall into your palm and rinse away the dirt and pain with the water from those recycled around you, making your flesh fresh like it was yesterday.
Try your best to look into someone’s eyes and not see what they are hiding, but instead the beauty of not knowing their truth and not wanting to.
Try your best to run the street at night, remembering the others left behind while catching up to the one’s ahead, before losing your breath.
Inspired by http://cryofthefishmongers.tumblr.com/ go follow them
May I always live in a place where the streetlamps, like kind soldiers standing at attention, throw spots of fleeting light onto the passenger seat. May I always live in a place where dirt roads wait just around the corner to take me somewhere new, somewhere mundane, somewhere spectacularly ordinary, somewhere I may never go. May I always live in a place that smells like grass, like cigarettes, like dry leaves, like half empty bottles of beer shattered onto the sidewalk, like home. May I always live in a place where the wind bites colder at night, where fluorescent corner convenience stores are a refuge. May I always live in a place where the cracks in the side of buildings and the hoods of cars and the roads are filled with stories that I will never know. May I always live in a place where the air is filled with crunching tires, with quiet midnight footsteps, with electric buzzing. May I always live in a place where the telephone lines stretch off into the distance towards radio towers that I will never see, where the signals do not reach me, where I may wonder what they’re playing. May I always live in a place, just a place, always a place.

I'm the boy at 13 who didn't know who he was until 16, only to question all of it at 19, hoping to figure it out before falling deep.
Updated
I’m still struggling to do something...anything really
I find myself lying down and looking up, thinking about my next step, although I can't find the staircase.
Running out of ideas, getting tired of old ones, drawing circles to find motivation.
But since I can’t do much, at least I can keep you updated.
A black life
A black life is a life of fear.
A black life is a life that is expendable in the eyes that fear such black life because when we provoke fear they have a reason to execute.
A black life is a life that has fought along those who hate and distrust, and those who love and accept, to better a nation and a society that is very sick.
A black life is a life that looks up to god for help and freedom, tho freedom is in the hands of the majority around them.
A black life is a life that is tired of fighting, tired of explaining, and tired of suppression, yet still, we fight.
A black life is a life that is fearful yet not lonely for we have many lives of many different colors, sex, and sexuality that can relate to such oppression.
A black life is a life that is wanting the same and no more for we need equal opportunity in a world that is greedy.
A black life is beautiful, it is magical, it is understanding, and it is worth fighting for. So please, if you can not relate, be the ones to listen to these black lives. Be the voice for these black lives. Have a heart for these black lives, and fight alongside these black lives like they fought along side you so long ago.
A black life is a life...
Live Fast
If they could spin the world faster, do you think they would?
Inventing things to make life fast, easier, conventional.
One day, life will pass you by.
To be stuck chasing while society continues to speed things up.
Sprinting through life only to trip half way there.
Afraid that death will take.
Yet, death wishes not to take but give.
To show you what lies ahead.
A prize for your patience and willingness to be open.
An answer to your deepest thoughts while leaving room for desire.
For ambition.
For love.
Don’t live fast...you might miss those little moments that lie ahead.
