🦁 Tamlin in Lunathion would dress pretty casual but in a way that allowed him movement. A simple Henley, flannel jacket, and practical boots are his go to.

🌲 He’s not big on the club scene, the chaos can be a little overwhelming. It makes him extra protective in a crowd, keeping a hand on Selena’s lower back. If he’s stuck going to a club with everyone, he tends to hang at the booth keeping an eye out, making people think he’s a bodyguard. He prefers smaller bars and playing pool.

🍃 Ruhn, Flynn, and Declan have been trying for months to convince Tamlin to try mirthroot to relax. They see this male holds stress for days and what he needs more than anything is a good chill out. To prove he’d be fine, Lucien tried it first. The mirthroot made Tamlin cry, finally just letting everything out. Good thing the Frat Pack are the best support group in Lunathion.

🌙 The fact that Ruhn has a similar face to Rhysand still weirds Tam out but he likes Ruhn a lot. They get along over their distain for traditional fae hierarchies and how they never really asked for their positions in life. Learning why Ruhn got all his tattoos made Tamlin growl and want to set the Autumn King straight.

🐺 Ithan has become like a little brother to Tamlin. He sees a lot of himself from his youth in Ithan and will sometimes mentor him on certain things. The fact that Ithan is also the youngest in the group makes him protective of the young pup.

🪸 Tharion gives Tamlin headaches when he hears of the Mer’s latest fuck ups. The fact that Tharion gets along with Lucien with their wit and sarcasm is Tam’s personal little hell. Hearing about how Tharion got revenge for his sister and seeing how he protects their friends earned him Tamlin’s respect even though he finds the Mer exhausting.

⚡️ Hunt is probably one of the few males of the Lunathion group that Tamlin is completely comfortable with. He recognizes the protective instincts and the trauma he’s been through. He was worried at first when he heard Selena attracted ANOTHER winged male, but Hunt is solid.

💋 Bryce’s chaos makes him nervous but he likes that she’s a good friend to Selena. He dreads them ever ganging up on him though, especially because Bryce makes terrorizing males her personal hobby. He tries to stay on her good side by bringing flowers when he visits.

🏙️ Tamlin’s favorite part of Lunathion is Moonwood. He isn’t really a fan of the super urban areas so Moonwood’s parks and forests are refreshing for him to take a break.

Tamlin week — Day 5: Shapeshifter

This oneshot is inspired by this bit in book one that I was particularly drawn to and always wished would’ve happened on page.

“Is this really necessary?”

The human girl across from Tamlin arched an eyebrow. “Is what necessary? This is my chance to verify the Suriel’s words. After all, I only recently learned that your kind can, in fact, lie.”

Lucien entered the glade behind Feyre hefting a bucket full of a variety of combs. “Don’t bother arguing, Tam.”

He huffed a sort of growl and sat upright. “I've never been brushed. I don't see why today is the day to change that."

Feyre wrinkled her nose. “All the more reason. You might learn something about yourself. Here.” She offered up a sausage link that she must've snuck from the breakfast spread that morning. “Keep still.”

Behind her, Lucien snorted.

Ah. So she was trying to train him with treats too. Despite everything, despite the circumstances, he chewed his sausage, feeling lighter, even as the hilarity of the situation dawned on him further.

Feyre and Lucien stood side by side, identical smirks on their faces and bushes in hand.

“I'm thinking I'll take the front,” Feyre mused. “After all, I need to be able to see if he truly enjoys it or not.”

Lucien sighed. “So the back end falls to me? Truly my deserved punishment. As you wish, milady.”

With a mock salute to Feyre and a final grin aimed at Tamlin, he strolled around to his back end. “Up you get, Tam. I can't brush your furry hindquarters with you sitting down.”

“This is why I've never been brushed before,” he droned as he pulled himself to a standing position. “Any dignity I have is gone.”

“You didn't have much in front of us to begin with,” Feyre snipped as she took a small step back. “But no worries. We won't tell anyone, will we Lucien?”

Lucien’s silence, no doubt struggling to keep from laughing, told Tamlin everything he needed to know. “Everyone already knows, don't they.”

She bit her lip, shoulders shaking ever so slightly. “Perhaps,” she finally managed, the response mostly air as her eyes watered with restrained laughter.

He huffed his sausage beast breath in her direction, cutting off her laughter as she choked and turned away.

Waving arms in front of her to swat away the odor, she shot him a dirty look. “Bad boy. No more sausages for you.”

“Just get on with it,” Tamlin shook out his coat. “The sooner we finish, the sooner you can make up your mind about the Suriel’s words.”

“If you insist.” Feyre's grin was mischievous as she finally began running the brush down his legs, clumps of golden fur fluttering into the wind with every stroke.

Two hours passed and Tamlin was certain that he had never felt so relaxed in all of his life.

Several piles of golden beast fur lay about, taller than should've been possible, as if his coat had been regrowing itself as they brushed.

Lucien had long since backed away from his hindquarters, insisting that the beast form be washed before he delved into the more personal parts.

Feyre wiped her sweat with her sleeve and tossed her tools into the bucket. “Mission accomplished, I'd say.”

From his spot in the shade, Lucien brought his hands together in three slow claps. “Better groomed than I've ever seen him. Fluffier too.”

Feyre allowed herself a small smile, but glanced up at him, a tiny crease between her brows. “Your verdict?”

A sort of warmth that Tamlin was sure didn't come from the afternoon sun filled him from the inside out. “It was new,” he admitted, “but relaxing. I'll concede this point to you.”

She blinked. “The Suriel, you mean.”

A laugh rumbled in his chest. “Of course.”

Feyre's mouth twitched before a wide smile stretched across her face and a giggle bubbled up. Making his way across the Glen, Lucien snorted. “I told you he didn't buy it.”

“It doesn't matter. We still convinced him to do it.” She jogged over to the edge of the pond. “Come have a look, O mighty High Lord.”

Shaking out his coat, Tamlin ambled over, muttering various regrets under his breath. As he peered at himself in the rippling reflection, he paused. The fangs were the same, as were the claws. But the contentment in the green eyes that stared up at him was so foreign that he nearly leapt backward.

Did he look ridiculous? Yes. Never had his fur been this fluffy, sticking out from his frame with near military precision.

But Feyre's reflection next to him was beaming still. Lucien was standing idle, with a lazy sort of amusement that hearkened back to when he still had both eyes.

It was worth it.

Tam for me prioritizes convenience over all else. he has his moments of vanity (and he recognizes the political importance of dressing up) but most of the time his strategy is to grab the least uncomfortable looking thing in his closet that’s still appropriate enough for the occasion. He's a naturally big and active guy; most of his clothes need to be tailored or they'll feel restrictive. he also gets his clothes dirty or ripped up all the damned time. Those living in the manor swear most of the court's yearly funds go towards seamstresses (this is a joke).

TamlinWeek Day Three: Fashion

Ahhh! It’s this time of the year again!

I chose to use just the ‘fashion’ prompt for today. And for said fashion I present my take on the Spring Court soldier’s armour. With Andras’ uniform being the standard sentry uniform and Tamlin’s being embellished to show his royal status. Despite not having designed helmets for Spring I think they’d have pretty beetle like designs same as the shoulder plate and boot spurs.

Tamlin’s hands are also not gloved like the standard uniform so he can grow out his claws while in battle.

There’s a lot of leaf and beetle inspiration in the designs and I was particularly inspired by the Leaf Men designs from the Blue Sky Studios movie EPIC if any of you have seen that.

(*cough cough* this is also a sneak peak for my submission for the collab prompt…but that’s just between the two of us shh…)

Tamlin week 2026 - 1 Music

A series of short Stories to heal the beast beneath the face of the high lord. Soo to be follow by an illustration. While I draw I like to think about what the story behind this drawing is. Sometimes the illustrations don’t pan out like I want them but the stories always help paint the  full picture.

I was told he was happy once, filled with joy and life. I was told he played and danced, his face lighting up with the firelights. I yearned to see that if only once. I was his now, and he was mine. Yet pain still lurked in the shadows, inside the corner of his eyes. I hear it sometimes; I hear his fiddle cry. Night when he thinks no one's watching, but I do. I watch him through the threshold of his study. I listen to the melancholy sound of the strings under the moonlight. Those green, emerald eyes filled a longing I am afraid I am still too afraid of describe, but still here I am.

Sometimes I want to walk in, want to be the person he plays his song for, but deep down I know I am not.  He plays for himself, for the pain, and for the loss, for whom he was before, and who he wishes to be once more. So, I stand here behind these doors, listening to the music within his soul, until morning comes and the music is no more.

The strings stop their crying, and I open the double doors. My eyes search for his own. He looks surprised but his surprise only meets my smile.  I reached out to him to the fiddle he hold close to his heart. The wood smooth and worn, an instrument well loved.  “play” I asked “play as much as you want” thought he seemed surprised, I wish he could see what was in my heart.  To me he wasn’t the high lord, he was just Tam.  He needn’t hide who he truly was from my eyes, becaused I loved every part.

Tamlin Week 2026- Day 1: Music/Poetry

Lonely Silence

Tamlin attempted to sit at the piano for what felt like the millionth time that week. The former, well...'technically' current High Lord of Spring spent his days roaming across his destroyed land, or more so his destroyed mannor.

Branches and vines of wildflowers covered the walls, floor and instruments that had long gone silent. He couldn't walk steady due to the drunkness and stumbled so much he nearly toppled the bench before stitting on it.

Papers were scattered all over the keys. Feeble attempts at poetry that he missed so much, yet just as music the verses eluded him. He missed them both too much.

Since she left, since she destroyed everything it was as if art and color had been torn from his life. Only silence and grey remained on what was once a paradise covered with roses.

No! He had to focus, Tamlin adjusted his posture and let his fingers grace the keys, they were covered in moss but useable.

'Just one. C'mon! Just one measely note!' He pleaded with himself.

Claws grew, his hands trembled, he was willing, and yet he couldn't form a sheet of music in his mind, nor could he compose a verse. It was empty, tired, broken bleakness that filled his once adept mind.

Tamlin angrily slammed his hands upon the keys, producing a distorted noise. It did little to cover the scream that tore through him.

Rage and sorrow filled the vicinity as he wept. What hadn't the Night taken from him? What else was he to lose for them to let him be?!

The room wasn't silent anymore, just filled with the High Lord's lament.
