Abijah Fowler is genuinely so fascinating to me—I need to crawl inside his head so here’s me yapping about something I find interesting about him!
So as we know Fowler’s plan is to take over Japan by establishing a puppet government that in reality answers to him. Repeating what happened to his home country at the hands of Britain.
However when he’s talking to the Shogun before he kills him he mentions that they should be grateful that he spared them a siege and then his tone drops off as he says ‘starving children’ so he has enough respect or care for at least the children of Japan’s population as to spare him what he went through with his sister as a child. So he’s willing to repeat the taking over a country part, just not starving out it’s people. Which makes me wonder if in his mind he genuinely it makes him “better” than the British because of it.
And earlier when Chiba mentions that all the men he’s found hate the Shogun, Fowler just replies with “Oh I don’t hate the Shogun, I just want his chair.” Which also show’s a general ambivalence for these people once again.
Hell the only time in the whole show he ever says something that is outright racist, “Heathen surely these Japanese” is when he’s talking directly to the Christian god, so it almost almost feels less like his actual feelings and more saying whatever he thinks will sway God himself to his side. Because even if he himself doesn’t think the Japanese people are ‘heathens’ he does know that from his own lived experience the Christian God will think so.
Which again is just fascinating to me.

I’ll always hate the fact that Nesta sleeping around and having unsafe/rough sex was a problem and an unhealthy coping mechanism that she needs to stop doing, until the moment she starts having rough/unsafe sex with her soul mate.
Like suddenly it stops being a problem once she’s only sleeping with the one guy everyone (the characters not the audience) wants her to end up with.
Like which is it? Is it REALLY a problem when she’s doing it. Or do they just want her to stop ‘embarrassing’ them.
Cassian was chosen as her warden simply because they suspected they were mates. In Frost and Starlight, Rhysand said there’s some strings needed to be pulled to make Cassian happy, who at the time was all forlorn over Nesta (even tho he only has himself to blame as to why she won’t give him the time of day). Nesta BEGGED for them to choose anyone else and they refused. The whole “intervention” and subsequent imprisonment wasn’t for Nesta. It was to make Feyre and Cassian happy.
OH HO! And lets not forget that if we are supposed to take this as a “rehab” situation in full, that every time Nesta and Cassian have sex in SF after being put into “rehab” that he’s literally assaulting her.
Because rehab patients cannot under any circumstances consent fully to having sex with their caretaker/warden ect.

One of my personal reasons for disliking Elriel and Nessian by extension is that I just find these two men’s self hatred severely unattractive.
Both of them (TO ME🚨) hate themselves more than they love their love interests.
Azriel’s deep seated self hatred for himself, his belief that he doesn’t deserve Elain, and Cassian’s self hatred for himself with his backstory of being a bastard doesn’t insight sympathy from me.
It just makes me think these two need a large amount of therapy before they should be dating anybody.

I think Elain would probably want to see all the region specific plant verities. I can see her taking some seeds to see if she can grow them elsewhere and just looking around.

Like this woman who he likes that he’s known for what—6-8 months by that point? Verses his ‘found family’, ‘brother’ ect who he also ‘loves’.
This genuinely isn’t even me knocking E/riel as a ship. This is just me being confused. Are there other weapons he ALSO doesn’t let other people use/have?
To me it feels in the same vain as Mor telling Feyre she’s queer before telling her ‘found family’ and people she’s built bonds with over literal centuries and who assumably would understand and accept her. Not your cousin who you’ve known for like 400+ years, tell his partner instead who’s been here for (i think) not even a year.

Happy Pride Month everyone! Is Azris ever going to be canon? No probubly not HOWEVER I do have enough Azris enjoying moots and friends so I thought I’d add em in the list anyways.
This was also my first time drawing either of these two. So I guess these are my debut designs for them. Do I have a reason for why Azriel has a grown out buzzcut? Sorta. But it’s mainly cause I wanted him and the other bat men to be more distinct.
Azris is finished so onto Gwynriel in July! If you wanna be tagged in any of the future artworks feel free to comment or DM! (It can be all of them or just one or two!)

Rick really really likes garbage reality TV shows like Love Island, Love is Blind and Temptation Island. He’ll put on reality TV shows that no ones ever heard of.
Rick also has an extensive collection of vinyls and cds he never uses.
Franco wears at least inch lifts in his shoes to make himself appear even slightly taller. (My personal height headcanon is 4’10ft and 5’2ft with the lifts.)
Eddie did theatre in High School.
If Eddie were to ever actually have had a kid (and been a decent parent) he’d sew little dolls and toys for said kid, along with clothing.
Franco has a 15 step cleaning routine specifically for Lupara. (Not so much for himself.)
If Eddie ever actually got married at some point and was mentally healthy I still think he’d ABSOLUTELY be a “groom-zilla”. And stress about absolutely everything.
Trager did tap dance as a kid…..don’t ask me why I think so.
Franco after being exiled from Louisiana to Miami/Cuba had exactly ONE bar of soap that he used for absolutely everything.
