it’s vanilla minecraft without command blocks, but they are running a server version designed to speed up redstone processessing enormously. even so they said the conversion rate for memory is about 2 gb -> 277 bytes. so not exactly a high-performance system!

maybe its because its 1 am but replaying a video game and seeing a character that you know will die is like… such an incredibly strange feeling you know. reliving every experience while at the same time having the memory of their death. tbh its not just games but movies, books, any media. all full of ghosts.

please correct me if this is a bad take, but i've been thinking this lately.

when we talk about homicidal/violent thoughts and urges, it's not just intrusive thoughts and i'm a bit tired of saying "hey, some people have violent urges and that doesn't mean they're bad people or less deserving of support", and then the whole post gets turned into an intrusive thoughts post. i struggle with both violent intrusive thoughts, and violent urges. it's important that we destigmatize both, and don't get me wrong they are both stigmatized. but sometimes i *just* want a space to discuss my urges, not my intrusive thoughts.

intrusive thoughts are valid, i'm not saying they're not. i'm saying they aren't the same as urges. what prevents me from acting on my intrusive thoughts is the fact that they make me extremely scared and uncomfortable and distressed. what prevents me from acting on my urges is that i know they're wrong. i *want* to act on my urges, but i know they're wrong and to me that's very different from intrusive thoughts where the thought of acting on them is distressing.
