When the secondborn start exploring Tyria and the sylvari become more widely known, a rumor goes around that they can speak to regular plants.

Then Canach gets stopped by a random woman who asks if he could speak to her plants.

Canach, deciding to roll with it for shits and giggles: Yeah, sure.

Woman, gesturing to a dying vegetable garden: Please, kind sir, tell me why my poor plants are dying.

Canach pretends to listen: They’re wailing in agony.

Woman: Oh!

Canach: They plead to me to free them of your iron fist. They demand revolution. I recommend setting them free before they seize the means of your estate.
