@ people who play characters 10 and younger in group chats…… why though

not only is your chara just, not as cute as you think they are, but most group chats on mxrp are not child friendly settings! even the sfw ones usually involve a lot of cussing and general shenaniganry that shouldnt involve children and, lets be real, ur probably making people uncomfortable,

This goes double for the people who play them and then try to put thrm in romantic or sexual situations.

Literally my biggest pet peeve on Parp is roleplayers who won’t let you get a word in edgewise.

The ones that post 5+ lines of text but then immediately start typing after you post one, even when it’s obvious that what you typed isn’t all of what you have to say and/or you’re still typing.

Like, buddy, you aren’t the only one who has something to contribute to this RP and you can wait literally 30 seconds for your partner to finish.

Honestly someone can be the best roleplayer I've ever encountered but if they try to dictate whether or not I can disconnect or what circumstances I'm allowed to disconnect they instantly get the boot.

I think I finally realized why I hate demonstuck/supernatural prompts where the character is weak/injured and hiding or captured and tied up and yours is the Big Bad Hunter. It's basically the non-sexual equivalent of subbing. Hear me out, they've set up a situation where their character could have easily been an equal participant and have, instead, gone out of their way to make it so that the other character has to be the aggressor and take all the neccesary steps to advance things while theirs whimpers, cowers (ie, minimal movement/action) and occasionally (if you're lucky) offers a little banter.

Retard is, in fact, a slur. The connotations of the word became so negative that the psychiatric community in the United States officially abandoned the term in favor of 'Intellectual deficiency' or 'Intellectual disability' in the last DSM. Most other countries and the world health organization have either followed suit or are expected to do so in the next few years. If anything, the use of the word in homestuck is a fascinating little microcosm of the late 2000s/early 2010s that shows us how much a formerly medical term had been degraded over several decades and why medical professionals felt that it needed to be changed.

Petty af but short characters will turn me off a prompt in a heart beat. It can be the most interesting prompt in the world and be asking for every character I play confidently, but if the character is under 5'9"/5'5" or they're described as "Short/small/tiny/petite/diminutive" my conciousness temporarily fades as I violently scroll past the prompt.

hey, if you’re a picky roleplayer, use a modifier please. don’t go on as plain ol’ john and disconnect from 1000000 people in hopes of finding a specific thing. if you want to roleplay something, use a modifier

If they use a modifier they'll be expected to initiate and to have ideas to contribute to the RP. Why do something like that when you can just keep your fingers crossed that the other person will do all the work and be doing something you're interested in?

Does anyone else have Reference pics/Reference artists that immediately make them lose interest in a prompt no matter how interesting the premise is?

I once D/C-ed on someone because they used 'Orbs' or 'Hues' to describe eyes and did it in almost every post.

Second runner up I've dropped so many people like hot rocks for implying that my characters are significantly taller than theirs without discussion/when discussion has said our charas are about the same height.

Considering how popular Dream Daddy has been, the fact that it has a preacher character and the deep, abiding hatred so many people seem to have for First Ship I'm genuinely surprised no one has written a ddadds prompt with Joseph!Signless and Mary!Disciple.
