What is happening in Austria ? With my exams I have lost tracks of Europe news except for the Brexit.. I've heard something like two weeks ago on the FPÖ.. Anyway I understand how anxious you are.. I was during the élections régionales in France with the FN. What is happening to Europe ? ( that s more my anxiety talking than me in the last bit)

So basically it’s presidential election day, and it’s far-right extremist Hofer vs (far?)-left green Van Der Bellen. In the first round, Hofer got like 37% and VdB got 22%, this is now the second round and will determine our new president. Hofer is anti-EU, anti-Islam, anti-Refugees, anti-LGBTQ, anti-everything basically, and he threatened to dissolve the current government, he is a liar and does not believe in an independent republic of Austria but wishes for a ‘Deutsches Reich’ or whatever. A massive nazi, basically.

VdB is everything Hofer is not. He’s like 30 years older than him, but he’s a Good Noodle and will definitely not cause harm to our country. He’s pro-LGBTQ, wants to focus on education and on helping refugees, etc. 

ANYWAY, we’re all anxiously awaiting the results (which will be announced at 5pm CEST). You’ll probably see me posting more then.
