Basic Info

Hello there!

So this is obviously a blog for The Count of Monte Cristo but the portrayal combines a lot of elements including the original novel, the characterization from the Fate franchise, among other elements from other media based on the novel as well. So while yes, there is a base foundation from Fate/Grand Order, this is at it’s core a multiverse portrayal I have been developing over the years.

I’m maybe kinda here? A little unsure with everything going on for me but maybe I can try again.

I guess there’s also the question of if anyone would still want to write with me even if I can’t be here super regularly. And I still kinda gotta figure out what I actually wanna do with this muse. Keep him just as Avenger? Expand him to be a more encompassing Monte Cristo portrayal? It’s a question I’ve been struggling with for a while as the Count’s muse has developed over the years and I still don’t have a good answer.

Gonna start hopefully working on getting this blog to a better spot next week. Gonna write up a couple of his verses and give it a new theme.

I don’t know what I want to do with this blog. Like I love Avenger and I love writing him but... I don’t know. I’ve tried fixing things up to my liking, trying to make this blog more open and not just stuck in place but being on it still doesn’t feel like it used to.

And I’m not sure how I can fix it. If adding more verses or doing a total revamp will help. I dunno. I can’t just abandon this blog since there are great memories here and two phenomenal ships with @maljefe and @horclogium that I can’t just drop. So I don’t know. I’m not gonna let this blog die but I gotta think about what I wanna do with it I guess

OKAY I FIGURED IT OUT AFTER CHATTING WITH @maljefe and @prxtagonist ! Gonna give Edmond a break. Gonna chill over on my GBF blogs probably and once I’m ready I’m gonna write out a proper verse page for Edmond, give the blog a new theme, and whatever else I figure out!

The amnesia did a big hit on her, erasing everything besides basic knowledge, skillset, and some habits, but whos he was or what she was - all empty, for an unknown period of time. However, it seemed that some people knew who she was before but refused to say it, leaving Sokolova to shrug and just sigh. “Would you like pancakes with some sanity poti— syrup? Actually, no, I only made enough for myself.” The atrocity that was her food was a legend in Rhodes Island by now.

“I...just came in to make some coffee...” The Count was rather perturbed by Zarina’s behavior. Why would she offer pancakes if she had not made enough in the first place? Oh, it hardly mattered. He was not particularly hungry anyway.

The Count had no real frame of reference, though, if Zarina’s current behavior was strange or not. He was not someone who had known her before her current amnesiac state. But amnesia or no, she had talked sense into his revenge-obsessed mind and opened his eyes a good deal. For that he owed her a lot and she had surely saved him from an early, or rather earlier, grave.

“But are you sure those are going to taste all right?” The Count asked her as he started fixing his coffee.

However, instead of slicing the stump in front of her in half--.. she took down several trees along with it. “..At least it was only a few trees..”  She froze suddenly, feeling a presence behind her, to which she did turn around rather hastily. Instead of releasing the wind blade, she felt her circuits flucate again, only to slice the ground and above next to the Avenger.. and daresay.. even get a flick of the Edmond's hair. "S-Sorry.. I didn't see you there--.."

Edmond was amazed he was able to hold on to the tea he was bringing her with the force of those wind blades. He had been watching her for a few minutes while she tried to perfect the technique and had gotten lost in following her graceful almost dance-like movements. That is until one of those very deadly blades nearly scalped him.

“It’s all right,” Edmond replied, checking quickly to made sure his ear was still attached. “But perhaps you should take a break for the morning. I’ve just finished tea and breakfast will be ready soon.”

His Master was beautiful, that was clear, but it was also becoming more apparent that she was far stronger than he had first thought. And perhaps stronger than even she realized.
