I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend
turns out... these little creatures are not so "shrimple" after all!
why'd I write this like I'm 74
truly just learn the phrase "I did not like this" instead of trying to give some moral or ethical reasoning behind why it's actually evil and morally wrong and problematic. you are allowed to just not like things because they're not good in your personal opinion, they don't have to be problematic you can just not like them
we need more dials and knobs and levers again. this world is lacking in dials and knobs and levers. it's one of our biggest issues.

Hunter is always front and center as the leader
Omega even gets time to shine while they were treasure hunting
GIVE ECHO HIS OWN EPISODE
How does he really feel??? Is he happy?? Does he miss his old squad? What does he think about Crosshair leaving??? HE DESERVES ATTENTION
Iāve decided that no it actually isnāt okay to not like kids. Not wanting kids fine. But hating and not liking children is deranged and evil behaviour.
Calling people āderangedā and āevilā for this is literally unacceptable.
I donāt want kids. I donāt like kids.
Kids deserve kindness, grace, and loving homes. Kids deserve access to education and community.
But no one should be forced to be around or raise children because those people donāt make good caregivers. And children shouldnāt be subjected to poor caregivers.
This is a slippery slope to forced birthing. I can practically hear the talking points now.
Dehumanizing people is something that starts to spiral really quickly. Remember that.
I agree with @concentratedbitchenergy, OPās ātakeā is so disrespectful and a dangerous mentality. You canāt simply call people evil or deranged because they donāt share your preferences. And yes it is a preference, itās not a biological or āspiritualā urge (see comment below). And for all the people who are about to complain about @concentratedbitchenergy saying that this is a slippery slope to forced birthing is an exaggeration, Iād ask you to look at another comment OP made and tell me this isnāt an argument that anti-abortionist have made:
First off, there has been research done into why some people get the biological urge to have children (not ālove, care for, and be around childrenā, just have children) but basically no research has been done as to why there are people who do not have that urge. So not only is that an under research argument but itās not even factual. Loving, caring for, and being around children is not the same as having an evolutionary urge to continue your genetic code. Also the assertion that āevery ounce of ourselves biologically and spirituallyā suggestions that we are all supposed to love children is so concerning and also is inaccurate. What about people who experience postpartum depression? People who have children (and according to OP that also means loving caring for and being around children) and only feel depression and anxiety. According to OP, they are deranged both biologically and spiritually as well as are evil. Is that what I think OP meant specifically? No, but I think thatās how quickly arguments can get twisted when speaking in absolutes, as OP does. And itās not just asserting their opinion as absolute scientific and spiritual fact (which is honestly laughable, what the fuck is a spiritual fact) that is dangerous, itās the fact that they are assigning a negative moral value to those who disagree with their opinion and that we should act negatively towards those people (āyouāre at least worth a weird lookā). Assigning a moral value and encouraging treating people differently because they have a differing opinion and using āscienceā and spiritual beliefs as undeniable fact to justify that behavior is the basis of a lot of ā-ismsā, if you catch my drift.
Also this largely discounts that a lot of people donāt like children because of bad parenting. I donāt like children, I have never wanted children, and I donāt want to be around children. Why? A lot of reasons. Most of the children I come across are behaving rudely in public. They are being disrespectful, they donāt pay attention to their surrounds to the point where itās dangerous for themselves and people around them. Is that the childrenās fault? A little, but itās mainly on their parents. I see so many people not teaching their kids how to be respectful members of society. I used to work in a museum that was primarily meant for families with young children, and at least once or twice a week I would get migraines because my work space, that I was in 8 hours a day, was full of children screaming at the top of their lungs, non stop, every day. There were several members of staff who had anxiety or panic attacks because being in an environment full of mostly ill-behaved children is very overwhelming. And think about people, like myself, with autism or sensory sensitives, who get overwhelmed by loud voices/their personal space being invaded- children, even well behaved children, are loud and invade your space. So then people with autism or sensory sensitivities or anxiety are deranged, and should be treated as such? Again I donāt think OP necessarily meant that implication, but again when you start to dehumanize a group of people, that can be twisted and spiral really quickly.
I urge OP to remember how quickly speaking in absolutes and casting moral judgement on those who live a different lifestyle than you can lead down a dangerous and violent path.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Do you guys block the tags of fandoms that your mutuals/people you follow are into that you have no interest in?
yeah
nah
I'm genuinely curious! I personally don't because it's fun learning things second hand, and if something annoys me too much I just unfollow them.
you are offered a choice:
You get to open a video-game style character creation screen and customise your body at will, to anything within range of human variation (no cat ears, sorry). This includes letting you set a new biological age, get rid of any physical health issues, and so on. Your new appearance seems unremarkable to anyone who knows you, all government databases with your picture are adjusted, etc.
You get 150 000 USD every year for the rest of your life without having to do anything for it. You don't pay taxes on this money, it adjusts with inflation automatically, it appears entirely legitimate to any authorities, etc.
what do you choose, and also, are you trans or cis (if you're tempted to answer 'it's complicated', round off to trans)?
Choose:
trans or complicated | Character creation
trans or complicated | 150k/year
unambiguously cis | Character creation
unambiguously cis | 150k/year
