i'm trying to get my characters on art fight some semblance of bios at least and it's gradually devolving into their stances on soup, which i consider an interesting look into my psyche, because like half of these guys are inheriting my soup disdain. oh my god why does it take so long to eat. anyway adoynis gets the torch of the singular soup enjoyer and i think suleil would probably be incredibly disproportionately judgemental towards him over it

Ohhh that's tomato alright #i can take tomato SAUCE i can't do tomatoes (regular) and i can't do tomatoes (liquid). there's a middle ground that makes them #tolerable and it's basically marinara and ketchup. Also while i'm here fuck cucumbers #staurolite can't eat and lupid likes meat. just to establish this as a post that doesn't belong on my tes sideblog.#if staurolite could eat i think they could make a pretty fuckin good sandwich. i think they'd take their time with it #it would wind up cut into triangles. good amount of condiments and ingredients. they would never just throw shit together #lightly warmed with butter on the stove just to melt the cheese.#they would see me microwaving cheese on a piece of spam and they wouldn't be mad but i feel like they would be a little horrified #I think suleil would like artificial flavoring. terrible for her that she's trapped in a medieval fantasy world because she could absolutel #fuck up some artificially fruit flavored candy i think.

#how long to air fry toasted ravioli #anyway i went with 4 minutes flip and then about 3 at 400 degrees (fahrenheit) and they were a biiiit burnt at the edges imo #but it's a small air fryer and they were kind of overlapping in there. this was from frozen to be clear #there were fancier suggestions from the air fryer subreddit‚ a group i assume is more dedicated to the craft‚ but i was as they say #desperate #3/5 it wasn't bad but the cheese (it was cheese ravioli) was a little bland

handful of 6.0-6.1 archon quest observations i forgot i wanted to post back when i actually finished the archon quests, and now it's 6.2 maintenance day. 6.1 (acts 3 and 4) under a cut because they're more story/spoiler oriented

the pacing in acts 1 and 2 felt very distinctly different to me in that despite being very very long quests and very very dialogue heavy, they actually kept the momentum of the quest going throughout that dialogue. characters explained things as they came up, characters and concepts were introduced as we went along; there wasn't dragging to a stop to explain events, then the emotions stemming from the events, then the expected reaction from the player, as told to you by paimon, sometimes several times. it just kind of surprised me (in a very good way) to see hoyo have their cake (long quests) and eat it too (lack of dialogue bloat) out of nowhere

additionally i've already been a cutscene enjoyer since the dawn of time but i think they've really ramped up the expressions specifically in the animated cutscenes? particularly in the scene with ineffa and the kuvaahki canon. and this might be completely wrong on my part but i swear it has something to do with them actually pushing the expressions on mouths more. because even out of cutscenes, nefer and particularly and more noticeably varka seem to have slightly wider/more noticeable mouths compared to older characters where they just kind of... don't look like they have one if they're not talking

speaking of nefer's model, i think she has an entirely sharper face. like her nose in particular. i don't have her and the wiki doesn't have her model turnaround yet but i swear from the side it was really noticeable in the aqs, particularly when you also had lauma for comparison. i just think that's neat

also i thought it was cute that instead of making you use the kuuhenki model during the aq scene where ineffa and aino use the moon lane (??? can't remember what they're called) and ignoring it they actually did make a version of ineffa holding aino for it

#seashell resonance #i need like... a tag for this game that isn't one of the popularly used ones just for sorting on this blog specifically #since i don't generally maintag my talk. granted a lot of that talk is untagged because it's unorganized and slightly crotchety #whereas this is just things i thought were interesting. but.#i like the obscurity. hashtag mythoughts #acts 1 and 2 having smoother pacing is also impressive to me when taking into account lauma (and technically flins) having their-#-story quests or what would've been their story quests integrated into the aq #(i say technically flins since his was less “what would've been a sq” and more just having an active aq role imo)#(whereas lauma had more of an arc of her own overlapping with but not entirely caused by the events of the aq)#like i'd say lauma definitely had it best with the sq in the aq. i think it worked really well for her #i hope they're still doing hangouts though. i can understand sqs being integrated into aqs where they can #and being on their own when they can't since they occupy a Similar role #but hangouts are fully their own thing. they're literally hanging out. they don't even have to be long ones since the old 1.4 ones #(benny‚ noelle‚ chongyun) are very short but they're just like‚ cute little hangouts #cmonnnn don't execute them. They're literally just good silly times. Make lauma have one. Who can stop you #but yeah nefer lauma flins and jahoda massively won me over. Also rerir #i expected him to be cold and intimidating and then he started screaming and shit and like. Ok. Steepling my fingers. I'm interested #the designs and trailers did not have me but yeah those 4 are my guys now i guess. aino & ineffa as well i just like the nod kraians #all i'm hoping for out of 6.2 is a nice big plate of dottore content. i know this is the advertising the dragon and potentially the witches #patch but i don't personally like those guys so it's all sniffing around for dottore crumbs for me #well sniffing around for dottore crumbs and maybe snagging 1 jahoda just so i can have her as my icon for a bit.#like ok she didn't break the “every anemo 4 star is sucrose or worse” curse but consider. that she is charming #and that that just means i don't have to worry about pulling constellations bc they won't save her. If i can finally make this work for me i'm set for life #like skipping the line AND flat color phases?
