This is so me help
an open letter to those who have not yet shifted.
i don't know how many of you will see this, let alone how many will read it entirely. this letter is for those who have been trying to shift for two years, five years, more. those who cannot give up, and those who will not give up, and maybe even those who already have. to preface, this letter will not rehash everything you already know. you've scrolled every forum, you've seen every method, you've read every tip. you've trialed, and errored, and persevered... but you're still here. law of assumption, manifestation, belief, intention. but you're still here. you've been told all about shifting... right? you already know what shifting is... right? you should already know how to shift... right? but you're still here.
this letter is not intended to debase or invalidate those who do already believe in those things and who are satisfied with that. this is for those who have been trying that way for 2 years, 5 years, and more, and still haven't shifted. this is for those who might want an alternative perspective.
I’m not sure if you’ve answered this kind of question before but is there any things that you suggest shifters SHOULDNT do while in their shifting journey? Or does it just not matter what shifters do?
I hope this question doesn’t sound mean and also makes sense lol
i suggest they shouldn’t use other people’s methods or look to what other people have done to know the parameters of what they, themselves, are capable of. considering how many limiting beliefs exist in a community destined for infinite realities, it’s best not to have any boxes on what is and isn’t possible for you. idc how twisted or fake a thing may sound, it doesn’t need to make sense here for it to be real there.

i know sometimes when we talk about reality shifting and the law of assumption, it can feel like magic, and it really is!
so i wanted to start a new series where i explore the science behind it, or more specifically the correlations i observe between scientific literature and spiritual manifestation philosophies! 🫶
this first post addresses the idea that YOUR BRAIN CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PHYSICAL REALITY (3D) AND IMAGINED REALITY (4D)!

☀️✨ your brain’s reality and imagination OVERLAP deeply
research shows that when you vividly imagine something,
your brain activates similar neural patterns as when you actually perceive it in the physical realm (Dijkstra et al., 2021).
♡ this means:
⤷ your brain treats vivid imagination and real perception in a similar way.
if you assume yourself into a new reality strongly enough,
your brain can’t fully distinguish between what is “imagination” and what is “actual experience”. it just responds as if it’s happening.

☀️✨ your brain uses “signal strength” to decide what’s real
another study (Dijkstra & Fleming, 2023) found that:
the mind COMBINES both real and imagined signals and decides something is “real” if it feels strong enough.
♡ this means:
⤷ when you assume something with enough emotion, focus, and vividness, your brain accepts it as reality and starts building your experience around it.
so when you shift realities or assume a new self concept,
you’re literally feeding stronger signals into your system, until your whole brain and body accept it as true.

recent neuroscience research (Dijkstra et al., 2021) explored how vividly imagining something can activate the brain in ways that closely resemble real perception.
the brain scan figure above shows that certain brain regions — including the pre-supplementary motor area (pre-SMA) and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) — are significantly modulated by how vivid an individual’s mental imagery is, and how visible a physical stimulus is.
✨₊˚⊹♡ basically:
the stronger and more vivid your imagination, the more your brain treats it as if it were real perception.
interestingly, the early visual cortex (evc), which is a brain region crucial for vision, responded differently:
• vivid imagination produced neural patterns more similar to low-visibility perception
• while “real” (physical) perception during high visibility matched more vivid imagery.
💡✨ this means that even if your imagined experience feels “lighter” than seeing something with your eyes open, your brain is still processing it as real enough to influence your perception of reality (Dijkstra et al., 2021).
AKA…
⤷ if you imagine vividly enough, your brain starts accepting your assumptions as real experiences.
this beautifully correlates with the idea behind manifestation and reality shifting:
the more vividly and consistently you assume something is real, the more your brain and your consciousness work together to make it true. and that truth is ultimately what is reflected back to you in the 3D (physical). in a sense, your brain literally weaves imagination into reality. so use that to your advantage!!

☀️✨ is unconscious imagination real too?
research is also exploring how imagination can happen unconsciously (Jaworska, 2024).
the study referenced above suggests that:
your deeper mind is constantly imagining and projecting possibilities without you even realizing it.
so not only are you consciously shifting with affirmations, intention and focus, but your subconscious is also weaving your path in the background.
essentially, you’re ALWAYS creating. even when you’re not actively thinking about it!

💫✨ plus: traditional neuroscience findings still correlate with shifting
♡ your brain’s neural pathways change based on belief.
• this is a phenomenon referred to as neuroplasticity.
when you affirm a new assumption over and over (ex. “i am successful”), your brain literally rewires itself to treat that assumption as true.
♡ your reticular activating system (RAS) focuses your perception.
• when you assume something, your RAS filters reality to show you evidence matching that assumption so that you experience more of it.
♡ deep meditation states make shifting easier.
• when you’re relaxed (theta/delta brainwaves), your subconscious is wide open to suggestion. that’s why shifting techniques often make use of deep relaxation, meditation or even falling asleep!

the SCIENCE of reality shifting/law of assumption

is there any SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that reality shifting is real? what about the law of assumption? you might be surprised by how much QUANTUM PHYSICS already aligns with the shifting/loa concepts you know and love.
in quantum mechanics, there’s this core concept called WAVE FUNCTION COLLAPSE, first introduced by the copenhagen interpretation. it says that particles like electrons or photons don’t exist in one set state — instead, they exist in a state of SUPERPOSITION, meaning all possible states at once. but the moment they are observed, the wave function collapses into a SINGLE OUTCOME (zeilinger, 1999).

before observation, there is NO FIXED STATE. reality exists as an infinite, limitless wave of probabilities. and the observer’s awareness is what selects one of those possibilities and collapses it into experience (zeilinger, 1999). this doesn’t just tweak physics. it REDEFINES what we call reality.
and in quantum mechanics? this isn’t just hopeful theorizing.
this is experimentally proven FACT.

this experiment is currently one of the CLEAREST PROOFS of how observation determines outcomes. when particles like electrons are fired through two slits without being observed, they act like waves — creating an interference pattern. they behave as if they went through both slits at once (arndt et al., 1999).
but the moment you observe which slit they go through, the interference disappears. the particle behaves like a solid object and chooses one path. the act of observation alone changes the result (arndt et al., 1999). this collapse is not metaphorical — it literally happens.

this experiment is truly powerful because it physically DEMONSTRATES how conscious measurement collapses potential into outcome. aka, HOW YOU CONSCIOUSLY SELECT THE REALITY YOU EXPERIENCE!

that INTENTIONAL ASSUMPTION collapses the wave function, making that version real for you. you don’t chase it. you don’t pull it in. you assume it’s already yours, and the quantum field reflects.

“but what if the particles are ALREADY in a fixed state, even with no observer present?”
WELL…physicist john bell mathematically proved that NO HIDDEN VARIABLES (aka no underlying mechanics) can explain quantum behaviour, UNLESS we accept that observation itself changes outcomes.
(which is literally THE BASIS OF SHIFTING/LOA!! 🤭)
his theory was put to the test in the ASPECT EXPERIMENTS, and the results confirmed it: entangled particles (more on quantum entanglement soon!) react to each other instantly, across vast distances, and ONLY WHEN OBSERVED (aspect, dalibard, & roger, 1982). these interactions defy space and time, and yet they STILL depend on measurement (aka observation).
“SO WHAT’S THE IMPLICATION OF THIS?” 🤨
form doesn’t exist until it’s consciously interacted with. MEANING: realities don’t “lock in” until your awareness CHOOSES one.

this isn’t “woo”. this is physics.

how it feels talking to someone who fully understands shifting and is equally insane about their dr and gets you (I was looking into the mirror and speaking to my reflection)
you will shift
it took me 5 years to figure out how to shift.
it only took me less than a month, maybe two weeks, to begin consciously manifesting things with results.
now, that sounds demoralizing as hell at first glance.
but the truth is, shifting is an individual experience.
people made shifting very complicated for and to me, when in reality, it is just as simple as manifesting if not more.
it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.
intention, no intention. dreaming, awake. conscious, unconscious.
there are a lot of instances in which people shift on accident -- the off-looking lamp (reddit), the mandela effect-- random example, i shifted here from a reality where david's michaelangelo had blank eyes, blank sclera, not the heart shaped pupils he has now (this was an intentional shift though).
i didn't realize shifting could be as easy as just assuming it (or affirming it, which i did, off-handedly and not caring, just trying it out to see what would happen).
i got good at consciously manifesting a lot faster than i did consciously shifting, and i believe that's because i followed other's advice and opinion, and also lacked a (personal!!!) understanding of what reality shifting and reality itself was to me.
not some popular loablogger, not a guru, my own.
i've had odd experiences with shifting, awareness, telepathy, and many other odd things i likely won't share here, as they're pretty deeply personal, but suffice to say, reality, the world, fantasy, are all a lot stranger and a lot more magical than we all think, especially if you allow yourself to open your own mind.
i've shifted parallel realities 70+ times in the last year, and the reason i haven't done it more, or to, let's say, specific realities, is because of personal issues in my life, but rest assured, it's like a bicycle-- the more you get on and do it over and over and over again, it becomes muscle memory, just like playing an instrument, speaking a language, or any other thing.
it is just another skill. anyone can do it.
truthfully, you have nothing to be afraid of. i was once told that fear = false evidence appearing real, and i'm inclined to agree. almost every single fear of mine never comes true, and you have nothing to fear from shifting.
nothing bad has ever happened to me as a result of shifting. i have only been renewed in my own faith in the law, as well as shifting, as a result of having done it.
How I feel after saying "you only live once" in a room full of non-shifters (I know damn well you don't)
i have a new shifting method called the dafuq method, where i dont give a fuq. i lay on my bed and dont give a fuq. i listen to a guided meditation but honestly, i dont really need it because i dont give a fuq. i know im shifting, and none of my other thoughts matter because i dont give a fuq about them.

I saw this tiktok and felt like it can be applied to manifesting. Affirm while ur scared, annoyed, frustrated, etc
please manifest “unrealistic” things.
please manifest “impossible” things.
please manifest “illogical” things.
please manifest things you want to manifest just because you want to.
please manifest no longer having anxiety.
please manifest no longer having depression.
please manifest that bad thing never happening.
please manifest because you want to manifest.
please manifest being happy because you deserve it.
