Byler’s romantic dynamic is literally canon I dgaf anymore. Death of the author is a thing and the D*ffer brothers’ insistence that we are “just noise” and their intention to make hetslop endgame does not override what is CANONICALLY in the script, cinematography, set design, and Finn and Noah’s gay ass performances. Whether they intended to or not, what the fucker brothers actually created was gay love on screen that never culminated. Their homophobic asses have to live with the knowledge that they created a queer couple that captivated a generation.
