𝓉hank you for reading until the end , i appreciate it very much ! i will attempt to post on here as often as possible but i sincerely hope you all can understand if i am not able to. feel free to message me or send asks as long as they're not invasive or inappropriate !
i don't know who needs to hear this but if byler were picking flowers to form boquets to give one another, and a flower happened to have three (to be exact) or seven (the demogorgon, it got me) petals, and they plucked each one off to play the "he loves me, he loves me not" game, it'd land on "he loves me" both times. you're welcome.

for the sweet @sainteangel! hope you like it ♡ i adore maxine so much and i know lydia would too. thanks again for the moodboard my loveee
ok but knowing lydia dosen't stick around for the longest time, (however anyone chooses to interpret that) their friendship would be short lived but still full of action-packed hunts and side quests i think :-)

Lydia Court & Sam Winchester - Doomed since birth

ㅤㅤintroducing . . . 𝓘𝑁𝑇𝐸𝑅𝑁 ! 𝓛𝑌𝐷𝐼𝐴 𝓒𝛰𝑈𝑅𝑇 in "it's a terrible life"
this was so incredibly fun to make! highly recommend for anyone with an spn oc x a sketch sheet for this concept is coming soon so keep your eyes peeled my loves
in a world where lydia never goes into hunting, the corporate workforce would not be her first choice! but for the sake of the episode, she'd just hover around, take notes at meetings, and run errands for people while cracking the driest jokes about quitting to join a convent or sarcastically asking anyone in her vicinity if the secretaries would be open-minded enough to date someone her age. and sam and dean would both have the most random thoughts of ??why do i feel paternal towards the vaguely lesbian intern?? much to expand on here but hope you guys like this teaser/moodboard!
let me paint you a picture. byler is on a picnic date at a park. will fondly points to some guy walking his dog and says "that could be us!" mike looks over and shakes his head in disapproval. "i'd never wear a leash that color," he says. a comedically long silence. will's soft reply is "i meant like, we could get a pet."
in a kinder timeline it's winter break and the dead poets are running about new york city hauling around some old school film equipment and conducting street interviews in which they ask people if it's better to speak or to die
the narrator thinking tyler always repeats his jokes louder and garners more laughter from groups but in reality he just says all his jokes twice (once sheepishly and the other time with a striking overconfidence) and everyone laughs the second time around because of how weirded tf out they are
a running gag the dead poets have at parties or packed events is paying a quarterback to wear a varsity jacket, stand in a corner, glare at knox from afar, and gradually inch closer to wherever he happens to be like he's gonna get jumped. and you best believe they gaslight him about it too. "what quarterback? you feeling okay, overstreet?" and yes, they do somehow pull off getting a quarterback into the exam hall as knox takes the bar. thanks for asking.
at the end of every day, tyler would definitely tell the narrator the most out of pocket sign-offs because "real men don't say good night" or something along those lines. it'd always be some crap about "catching those z's" or a misremembered saying about how he's gonna "beat the hay."
i think that pissing the narrator off and getting him riled up when it's late would also be tyler's own strange way of tiring him out so he goes to sleep too
𝓦hy do you insist on protecting the sacrificial lamb? ㅤ───ㅤ𝒟etails ㅤㅤon if my supernatural oc were a canon character on the show
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ𝓣w : mentions of sa ℘ internalized homophobia
𝓛YDIA COURT who has very specific means of coping after a bad hunt. Repetitively brushing her hair, digging out dried blood from beneath her painted-pink fingernails, scrubing dirt from off her sleeves—Anything to rid herself of whatever guilt and grime she'd accumulated throughout the day. She falls into a kind of desperate trance doing these things, and she'd often need to get "snapped out of it" or she could go on for hours at a time. They'd usually be shown in the foreground as another scene is taking place, not drawing too much attention to them.
𝓛YDIA COURT whose clothes are used as a prominent storytelling device for her character's maturity. In her first encounters with Sam and Dean, she'd worn a lot of pale pinks, shirts with sequin accents, fun fur and leather textures, chunky boots, statement bags, and generally more playful sillouettes and prints. In later seasons, she rocks more muted, old rose colored pieces, and sticks to more denim jeans and suede coats than asymmetrical skirts and cropped button-ups. She does not by any means abandon her femininity, but just experiments with more androgony rooted-styles. Her hair also grows progressively flatter and less naturally wavy as she "falls out of love" with hunting. This is probably the most the Supernatural writers have ever leaned into clothing theory reflecting a character's development.
𝓛YDIA COURT who (mind you, once) made the Winchesters order strawberry and vanilla milkshakes when she got a chocolate one because they're the "big three" and it was a golden oppurtunity if she'd ever seen one. This would get featured in so many fics, in the sense that milkshakes are to her what pie is to Dean.
𝓛YDIA COURT whose parents promised her body to a demon before she was born. They'd attempted to make a deal wherein their dealership for haunted art would thrive, and no deaths could be traced back to them, but she could be used as the demon's on-again-off-again vessel (if it wished) for her entire life without dying from it. Not dying from possession sounded like a blessing but it couldn't be further from it. Instead, she'd just come to, numb but aching all over at somehow the same time. Its eternal punching bag. Hence the sacrificial lamb imagery I've come go associate with her.
𝓛YDIA COURT whose secret sources of income included allowances from older women she'd previously had short-lived flings with. She is possibly the most lovestruck lovergirl to have ever lovergirled, which is why she'd been so blind to being strung along. Even then, she'd savor any sweet consolation they'd provide for her until it grew bitter and rotten. If she and the Winchesters happened to be working a case in a town where one of these women resided, she'd introduce her to them claiming "they'd be seeing a lot more of her." It wasn't true, but it was fun to pretend, even though she didn't know for whose sake it was for. This one only applies to aged up Lyddy. (And speaking of! Lydia is such a strong believer of cannibalism as a metaphor for love—Not ideal when your coworkers hunt rougarous and you're seeing one on the side. To her, she wouldn't be getting eaten. She'd be physically kept by someone forever, safely cradled in the arms—or rather, guts—of someone who loved her. She'd grow less easily attached as she got older and the possessions became more frequent.)
𝓛YDIA COURT whose bad past with older men of authority led to her remaining cautious around the Winchesters whenever she was left alone in a room with them and wasn't sure she could trust them yet. When they were "off-duty" and happened to be spending time in the same motel suite, she'd always insist the door remain open a little, wouldn't accept any drinks unless there were other people around, and if given the chance, sit across from them instead of beside. Sam would definitely pick up on why she did these things a bit earlier, but Dean would follow soon after. Realistically, her SA storyline would be disregarded in later seasons so these habits would only be found in a few episodes.
𝓛YDIA COURT whose sacrificial lamb imagery would not be subtle whatsoever. The show would have her standing in front of biblical paintings of lambs getting slaughtered, have several lambs approach her when walking across a plot of land near a farm, the wallpaper in her motel rooms would be lamb-patterned. Cas has probably approached her just to say something along the lines of "It's really not looking good for you. It dosen't go away." Needless to say, the death scares would've been wild.
𝓛YDIA COURT who, when she's alone with him, asks Sam if he wants to say a prayer before they do things, however mundane. When having crappy takeout food in their motel room, getting ready to charge into a dangerous scene, or the night before going to sleep on a night they're being actively sought after by some creature. She didn't grow up particularly religious but it's a kind of comfort she'd always offered him.
𝓛YDIA COURT who genuinely refuses to be forgotten by the narrative even long after her disappearance/death (whatever the viewers would choose to believe). A girl with a similar hairdo or clothing style walks past the Winchesters on the street? They both do double takes and get quiet for a bit. They encounter a case involving haunted art of unknown origin? "Lyds would have a field day." They're questioning some locals in a run-down diner? They instinctively check the dessert menu for chocolate milkshakes. I think that after she leaves, she'd get at least one mention a season before the writers found her to be absolutely irrelevant.

*: when i was a baby the doctors told me i had a hole in my heart and 1-2 years ago i had a surgery for it but halfway through they realized i didn't actually have it because they just assumed i had a heart problem except the only real proof pointing to that was how my ecg looks a bit weird for no reason so then i had to come to terms with the fact that i never had anything wrong with me at all
...i see now that i had a lot of interesting character development as a tween
