this site is under construction, currently. the coffee is the main thing. hi, I'm Jules. I’m a 31 year old single mom, graduated from the University of Oregon with a major in Psychology & minor in English Lit. I abuse punctuation and shower everyone I love with affection. I collect geeky t-shirts. this is a sort of secondary blog for while I'm struggling with some personal stuff. I'm sometimes unhappy. sometimes I talk about it. I post a lot of geekery and photos of me and my life. I love books and grammar and psychology and geeky stuff. I like caffeine. a lot. I don't get enough sleep. I ramble a lot. on many subjects. my new heat-changing TARDIS mug arrived broken. I laughed. it’s like some weird cosmic game where my heat-changing TARDIS mug is continually broken or damaged and maybe it’s some kind of expression of ‘I can’t have nice things’ or something. I fell asleep catching up on tumblr and reading a Wonder Woman comic book and woke to find my glasses underneath me in bed, and I am really lucky they are still intact. today is Cody’s class play, he is Galahad. his dad and stepmom and grandma are going to be there. I need that 'I can't do this but I'm doing it anyway' thing. because ugh. of course I want them there for Cody. I just don't have the energy to talk to them. my supervisor got her brother, who lives in Missouri, to friend me on facebook some months ago because we have so many similar interests. we've been talking and he's great and I like talking with him. and he's decided to come visit my supervisor next month and we will meet while he's here and the last guy who came out and visited doesn't even talk to me anymore so I'm feeling really anxious although at least this time he's not just coming to see me so even if he hates me that's not a waste of his time I guess. anyway. it's still only fucking Tuesday, what is that about?? xoxoxoxo

you may or may not remember me talking about the girls at my work organizing a screening of this movie a couple of months ago, but it was a pretty amazing movie (and an extremely well-attended screening thanks to our girls). you can watch it on CNN at 9pm ET on June 16th.

I am pathetically excited about these, like I guess I'd been craving grapes and had no idea. mmmm. anyway, Cody and I are about to watch Avengers for his first time. yesterday, we watched Captain America (which I'd seen several times but Cody never had) and that was the best part of my day. also, JJ Feild saying 'mind the gap' may still be my favorite line in the movie. I don't know, I probably need to watch it lots more to really decide. xoxoxoxo
