Sketching. New comics are coming soon my neurodivergent friends! I've been away for a while but I've noticed there are many of you who find recognition in what I am sharing. That makes me happy. I want to give you what I missed.

Sketching without expectation or goal. Reviving the play element whilst taking my time. I've had huge long term overload these days and am spending most of my time sleeping, resting and recovering with hardly any contact with the outside world. I've been hesitant to share these things because I don't want to be overly dramatic or get attention/sympathy for being ill right now. But I think it's important people know this side of being autistic as well. It may seem that for some of us life is easy and nothing seems to be wrong because we look sort of normal or maybe just eccentric in a cute way.. but hardly anyone sees the immense effort that goes on under the surface to be able to function at the minimal level expected of us whilst coping with sensory hypersensitivity amongst many other things.

An illustration I did about reading the body language and faces of other people, and how confusing it can be sometimes.

First edition of Constellations I made. Life is hectic, spoons are sparse, so I'm sorry for not making as many as I'd like, but I have a lot of ideas for new material. I want you all to know that being autistic isn't always a handicap. It can be a strength too, even though it really doesn't feel like it on some days. Believe me I know, today I am just empty and all I want is to hibernate for a month. Still, I make this series about Autistic Superpowers because even though we don't fit in with the speed and intensity of our society, there are some things that we do very well, and that neurotypicals can really use our help with ❤️ remembering useless facts isn't one perhaps, but our memory and ability to absorb a lot of information sure is! Love to all of you, stay strong, and know that you're not alone.

Another excerpt from one of my comics on life on the autistic spectrum. Shoutout to all those who pass mostly as neurotypical and have to hear a lot of bad things about autism from people who assume they are not on the spectrum. I sometimes feel like I'm on some weird undercover mission as an autistic person when neurotypical people talk to me about their experiences with autistic folks without knowing I'm one of them. I used to stay quiet and not say anything, but nowadays I take the opportunity to be honest and explain what it's like on the other side :)
